😊 I want to begin this post by saying that I am one of the kindest people you will ever meet. With that being said, over the weekend I received an email from someone. I have met this person through a Facebook group, and of course they have mass emails sent out here and there. This particular one was addressing a previously sent email which mentioned people of a certain political party should unfollow, unfriend, and/or basicly have nothing to do with them. This just hit me right in the heart because as a person, wife, daughter, granddaughter, sister, friend, life coach, pharmacy technician...I would not turn someone away because of politics. We are each in this world to be different. We can agree to disagree and still get along. I do this with people every single day. Being different and unique helps us to grow and learn with each other. If we all had the same likes and dislikes, hobbies and interests, looks and personality, clothes and shoes...It would be pretty boring, and we wouldn't have much to learn or share. Sending out the HUGEST THANK YOU for the amazingly generous couple that decided, unbeknownst to these four, to pay for their dinner at Johnny’s Tavern Friday night before prom 💖 We have always brought up Christian to spread kindness, be charitable & giving & expect nothing in return 💖 When they went to pay the dinner for their scrumptious dinner, they found out that it was already paid by this wonderful couple that saw them dining. They did not know them or interact with them that night. They were not able to thank that couple in person, but were shocked & so, so deeply thankul 🙏🙏🙏🙏 I am hoping that Johnny’s staff or the couple sees this post because this impacted them so much. On such a special night, they were totally blindsighted by this act of kindness & generousity. But beyond the kids, all of us that heard about this were so touched. We will certainly “pay it forward” 💖 They are all seniors graduating at the end of May & seeing others act like this is a wonderful example of how to live life. When Christian told me, besides being very surprised, my first statement was “remember how you felt when they did this for you”. I went to church yesterday and the pastor was having a really philosophical discussion with everyone about the idea of determinism. This is a complex philosophical debate so I won’t be able to provide the most critical lense to it but my understanding was that people who believe in determinism tend to believe that life is created no matter what choices you make, there is a pre destined route to life. Listening to it made me feel sad as I thought what even is the point in trying if my route is already made. The pastor then went on to explain that as Christian’s we believe in God creating life and him being the example of life and love and providing meaning to life. He allows for free will and not everything is pre determined, you make choices in your life, of course in tangible ways and not everything is in your control or power. But God provides the meaning and deep unconditional love in your life. I resonate with this deeply, I feel like the more I try and deepen my relationship with God, the more meaning I pull from my own life and the more in love with my life and myself I become. The more I have ignored God and followed my ego the more empty I have felt.
