Have you ever driven to Florida? We decided to drive down for our last trip and it was so much fun! We both really enjoy driving, and we played a game where we counted how many times we heard certain bands on the radio (AC/DC won - we heard then 16 times in 1 day π±). We also discovered the incredible place that is BUCKEES! Oh my gosh we LOVE Buckees! The food was amazing (try the brisket π€€) and it was a great place to stop and stretch before driving some more. We managed to drive each way in less than 24 hrs, and we'd absolutely do it again! It's Monorail Monday! I had some pretty devastatingly news this week. I was acting as a gestational surrogate for someone close to me and the baby stopped growing at around the 7-8 weeks mark. We didnβt know this happened until I went to my 11 week appointment on Wednesday. I had a missed miscarriage which is when your body believes youβre still pregnant but there is no longer a heartbeat. It was pretty crushing for everyone involved. As a way to cheer me up, @dreamkittycosplay booked a last minute super quick Disney vacay and whisked me away. There was so much luck and magic in this trip, it really did lift my spirits. Iβm still pretty sad, but I think Anna from Frozen 2 puts it best: βTake a step, step again. In January, we took a trip to Disney together and right before we went Angel had some pretty devastating news. She had been working her dream job for almost 2 years and suddenly...it was gone. No warning. She was heartbroken. We were leaving for Disney 2 days after she got the news, and quite frankly she almost wanted to cancel. A trip to Disney was pretty frivolous when she had no current means of employment, no? But we went anyway, and over the course of 4 days her mood lightened dramatically. And her mindset shifted from what she had lost to thinking of what she could gain from this experience. After all, if Walt never faced an obstacle, we wouldn't have the happiest place on Earth. Sometimes, life throws us a curveball, and it's up to us to determine how that curve will affect us.
