Try to remember that oh so lovely song about green grass, golden hues, and a time blessed by love and tenderness. Perhaps that couple first met in a grove of birch, sat upon a fallen log, and kissed? Or maybe they just rested there, still and quiet, understanding this season must pass, as all do, though knowing that would be a moment their hearts would always remember. “That Kind of September” is my third work of abstract landscape inspired by my upcoming show @mn_arb. Painted on a 24” x 36” x 1.5” birch panel ( @bara_woodshaping ), it’s also my largest work to date. This piece is thick with history and texture, just as one might see in such a woodland clearing. As the eye explores this piece, you might find little moments that feel like paintings within the larger painting. Swipe to see a few moments that captured my eye, then keep swiping for a photo of the painting’s early layers. “That Kind of September” is one of four abstract landscapes inspired by my upcoming exhibition. I have one more to share this week, then I’ll post all four. I’m finding with these pieces I’m loving details that give them a stylized quality. Here that’s accomplished by the saturated nature of sky and water and those whimsical clouds. 土曜日午前中は、#三雲まちづくりセンター で、一年半ぶりに、居合の稽古に参加できました。 ①#三雲駅 #ホームの風景 ②#猿飛佐助 #八丈岩 #三雲城址 は#スカーレット の次の年に登ったのを思い出す。 ③#居合道 #無双直伝英信流 の技一覧、毎回練習日に貼ります。9時から12時まで、みっちりご指導いただきました。感謝。 #滋賀居合道友会 #shiga_iai_doyukai ④#のろし駅伝 ⑤⑥⑦#柿ジャム 作りました。弱火10分後、30分で出来上がり。熱いうちにビンに入れます。レモン🍋がなかったので、すだちで代用しました。 日曜日 今週は天気の良い日が続いてくれるようです。😊 #trytoremember は、やはり、#ブラザーズフォア がいいですね。
