Following some significant changes to his work contract and location, Rob experienced severe work-related stress which was exacerbated by a lack of co-operation and transparency within the organisation’s management hierarchy. Martin suffered from a persistent physical condition which made working difficult, however, unable to get timely medical support paired with a long period of work absence, this untreated physical condition led to insomnia, a stutter and eventually the beginnings of depression. Kelly found pursuing her dream job as a self-employed musician had become increasingly difficult during Covid, leading her to experience anxiety and a loss of motivation. Naeem had been constantly applying for jobs but hearing nothing back. This caused him to feel low whilst his anxiety also gradually increased. Christine had suffered a series of significant losses – her two brothers and her dear mother had all passed on within a short space of time, and as her mum’s full-time carer, when she passed away Christine was left with a huge void in her life. Meet Martin, who was forced to take a break in his 30-year career due to COVID. However, this led to a decline in his mental and physical health, as well as his income. After becoming ill and needing to take time off work, Susan fell into a deep depression as the anxiety about returning to her old job grew.
