Today's term for number 2 is Binary Star! A binary star is just like it sounds, a system of two stars! ✨ So for my number 2, I really wanted to focus on... Well.. Twos 😂 I created this beveled shaped because I have a small (not small at all 😅) obsession with beveling everything hahaha and to really distinguish between the light portions and those in the shadows. I also wanted to use only two colors, including the background, so I stuck to shades of blue and pink! Today's term for number 1 is First Light! As much of a moon lover as I am, I also am quite obsessed with sunset and sunrise. So I decided to let that beautiful moment of dawn inspire my number 1! ✨Honestly the number one is kind of boring since it's mostly just a straight line 😂 So I wanted to go a little outside of the box and created this impossible style diamond shape to serve as my 1! I used a dark purple to light pink gradient to represent the gorgeous colors in the sky as the light breaks through the darkness. A zenith is the highest point or summit. This word felt like the perfect way to finish the letters as well, almost like we've reached the top! ✨ So for this letter Z, I wanted to focus on making a lot of sharp points and angles. I also used dimensional effects to make it appear to be tipping forward a bit so that you could see the highest point, or top of the letter. Today's word for letter Y is Yottawatt which is actually a SEPTILLION (10^24) watts!!! So ya know, a few of them 😂 This unit of measure is often used when talking about the total amount of energy a star gives off, or what's consumed by a black hole. ✨ While not exactly as bright as a Yottawatt, I thought these retro light bulbs would be the perfect way to decorate my letter Y! Early type exploration for Giraffa Racing: a horse racing members club whose name is inspired by one of the city wards competing at the renowned Palio di Siena - La Contrada della Giraffa. Swipe & zoom 🔎 What do you think about this futuristic letter X? 👇🏻 ✨For this edition of the 36 Days of Type, I've chosen a space themed term that starts with each letter as inspiration for it's design! ✨ Today's word for letter X is Xenon! Xenon is commonly used in propulsion systems for spacecraft, as well as in specialized detectors to help search for dark matter particles. ✨ For this X, I wanted to go for a super sci-fi aesthetic with a futuristic letter form and dramatic dimensional effects. Since xenon is known to emit a blue or lavender glow, I chose to use those colors on my letter. I wanted it to be empty in the center so you could see this mysterious, energy charged galaxy through the middle. ✨ X is always one of my favorite letters to draw and I also love this futuristic space aesthetic. So this was a really fun one to create! (even if I'm having a minor mental breakdown about the letters, and the series, being almost over 🥺) ✨ What do you think of this Xenon letter X?
