She messaged one of her beasties the moment the shift occurred saying that was the end and there was no way back. She knew it in her bones. That knowing was not something new she was accessing for the first time. She knew she could rely on it and that that was the TRUTH - how could she not trust on what her being was informing/telling her? That chapter had definitely closed and she knew how merciless and ruthless she would be perceived moving forward. She's been there, done that and couldn't care less about something she's already been through in the past. A new chapter was beginning and she could already feel the exhilarating mystery of the unknown calling her to dive deeper on her next adventure whatever would that be/look like. A week passed by after the shift and again sitted on her bed at 2am from the top of her lungs decreed out of nowhere she wanted to experience NEW things in her life that she has never experienced before. "Yes, you up there i know no thing about bring me the NEW. Give it to me". She's completely forgotten about it because in that moment she truly didn't needed anything new in her life. Her being during that week had gone through a massive calibration and she was at peace. Another week went by and Pedro appeared in her life. She felt Intrigued by his PRESENCE. He was so captivating without being so. All about him was... NEW to her. "Oh shit... I wasn't even thinking about a man or a relationship when I made that decree. And now the NEW is right In front of my nose. Mmm.. So damn Interesting. I'm in" What she's done next? Well... She broke the rules and an almost 30 year pattern she had been living by that was truly limiting. Had she stopped following through the moves from her being she would never had experience what she was about to experience in her life. A beautiful being, an outstanding man. Seokyoung wrote the forward, the introduction for my solo exhibition. She was just about to return to Korea when I needed a writer, so we were lucky to start collaborating remotely while she was still in LA. It went incredibly smoothly. I always knew her writing would be great. I'm so happy we've been reconnecting lately, sharing our creative energy, and collaborating on a project after graduating from CalArts together. - 내 스스로 작품 설명글을 오랫동안 고치고 또 고치는 동안 비평을 써 줄 사람이 있으면 좋겠다고 생각하고 누가 있을까 고민을 하던 차였다. 그 즈음 석영이가 마침 10월 중반에 한국에 갈 예정이니 만나자는 메세지를 나에게 보냈는데, 순간적으로 석영이에게 글을 맡기면 되겠다고 생각했다! 석영이도 나와 비슷한 슬픔을 겪었고, 건조하고 덤덤한 내 글과 다르게 촉촉하면서도 더 깊은 감정을 보여주는 글들을 그간 보아왔기에 나의 전시를 또 다른 관점과 감성으로 바라볼 수 있게 해 줄 것 같았다. 그렇게 태민, 정모님에 연이어서 최종적으로 팀에 합류하게 되었다. 한국 들어오기전에는 원격으로 피드백을 주고 받았고, 석영이도 서문을 작성한 것은 처음이었는데도 빠른 기간내에 정갈하고 좋은 글이 완성되었다. 멋져! 대신 전시 영문 제목 번역을 도와 준 Rachel 의 조언도 있었고, 석영이도 지인의 의견을 따라 '비평'이 아니라 '서문'이 되었다. 오히려 더 그래서 좋았던 것 같다. 수 없이 많은 논문과 책을 읽은 박물관 선생님들도 다 서문이 좋았다고 칭찬을 해 주셨다. Et je ne sais même pas pourquoi je vous dis ça car ça n’a sans doute aucun intérêt pour vous, mais surtout ça ne changera pas vos vies. Ni la mienne. Mais voilà je le dis. Comme un exutoire. Une poubelle. Après tout les réseaux sociaux ont aussi cette fonction de nos jours. Je me souviens quand j’ai pris cette photo. Je venais d’arriver à Ténérife où j’avais loué un petit appartement, certes charmant, mais complètement isolé. J’étais au milieu de nulle part honnêtement. Un village de pêcheur à 30 minutes à pied du premier arrêt de bus et avec pour seuls compagnons la mer et le vent. J’étais en pleine crise existentielle à cette époque. J’avais passé novembre et décembre à me débattre avec une bonne dépression du coeur, à m’en tordre les boyaux. Et puis je suis partie. A l’arrache. Aujourd’hui je regarde cette photo et je repense à ce voyage pour le peu épique. Rien ne s’était passé comme prévu, ça partait un peu (beaucoup) dans tous les sens et pourtant quelque part, je ne me suis jamais sentie aussi vivante. Je ne dis pas que mes démons m’ont alors foutu la paix. Mais par contre, la vie est venue me chercher et m’a emmenée avec elle comme pour me dire: « allez maintenant ça suffit, il est temps de bouger. De sortir de ta torpeur. De ton aveuglement. Et de puiser en toi cette force, cet appétit de vie qui t’anime. Pour te retrouver. ». Et c’est ce qui s’est passé. Avec quelques difficultés certes, et pas mal de fatigue. Mais aussi avec beaucoup de joie. Alors… La suite ⬇️

The first bodly reaction he had the moment he saw her as she was taking off her eyeglasses, exuding sensuality from all over and every pore of her magical being while gazing into his eyes, asking: Who are you? Is it your first day here? He: I'm Pedro. I've started three weeks ago. She: Well... Hello Pedro. How come have I not see you around here before? While he was trying to hide his huge uncontrollable b00ner behind her counter mesmerised by her beauty, her smile, how she was moving her body, freely, spontaneously, laughing about her own jokes not giving a flying fxck whether she was behaving appropriately and decently according to that silly three second rule which states someone's impression about "you" is imprinted within that tiny time frame...
