You know I sometimes like to match my food colors. This morning, I just had to have golden raspberries with my apricot danish. For yesterday's afternoon snack, it wasn't quite an exact match with the plum torte and ube malted crunch ice cream.
On Saturday, I bought some ice cream pints. I was planning to buy two, but each pint is $13, and I saw that I could get 4 for $40. That's a savings of $3/pint. 🤣 I got my fave flavors, and I finally opened one last night. My favorite, of course, is the ube malted crunch. Even matched the ice cream cup (given by my nieces) with it.

Happy solstice! Today only, @wanderlustcreamery is offering a free solstice scoop, from a choice of 3 specific flavors, with every purchase. One of the flavors is Hokey Pokey (sweet cream ice cream with honeycomb candy shards) is a favorite, so had to take advantage of it. Who wants some ice cream 🍦? I was intrigued with @wanderlustcreamery when I first heard about that the flavors are inspired by the founder’s travels around the world and that they are made from the natural ingredients. Having had sticky rice and mango in Thailand, their version of it is so unique and fun! I can’t get enough of this place and it has become the place where I bring all my LA and out of town visitors to! No one has been disappointed. My recent favorite is the jasmine salted osmanthus flavor that was part for the Feb lunar new year special. The Venice location has a small private parking lot in the front, otherwise street parking.
