If you're trying to eat a little healthier or if you are just in the mood for something different I'd highly recommend these Greek turkey burgers! They are so juicy and flavorful, and we load the turkey burger mixture with spinach, feta, and sun-dried tomatoes. All that flavor in the patty is pretty amazing. Printable recipe at the link in my bio! GREEK TURKEY BURGERS 1 pound lean ground turkey ¼ cup chopped fresh spinach ¼ cup minced sun-dried tomatoes ¼ cup crumbled feta 1 ½ teaspoons Greek seasoning blend see notes 1 tablespoon oil 4 hamburger buns 4 tablespoons butter ½ cup tzatziki Fresh lettuce red onion, cucumber slices, and tomato, for serving 1. Add the turkey, spinach, tomatoes, feta, and Greek seasoning to a bowl. Stir well with a wooden spoon or use your hands to combine the mixture. 2. Shape the turkey mixture into 4 evenly sized patties a bit larger in diameter than your sandwich buns. 3. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the oil. Once the oil is shimmering, add the turkey burgers and cook on each side until browned and turkey is cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side. 4. Spread the hamburger buns with butter and toast in the hot pan until lightly golden. 5. Serve with hamburger buns spread with tzatziki and topped with your choice of lettuce, onion, cucumber slices, and tomato. TIPS & NOTES: We use 93% lean ground turkey in this recipe. We use Cavender’s Greek Seasoning. If you’re using a different brand of seasoning you may need to add salt to the recipe, depending on how salty the blend is. If you don’t have Greek seasoning, you can use ½ teaspoon each of oregano, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Have you tried the new Sushiro collaboration with Lee Kam Kee? Lee Kam Kee is a Hong Kong brand that creates a lot of sauces and Chinese marinades for home cooks for quick and easy meals. I always have a bottle or two of their sauces in my fridge including their signature oyster sauce. They offer 3 sushi creations: sea bream with XO sauce, scallop with oyster sauce and tuna with mala chili sauce. I tried the sea bream with XO and scallop with oyster sauce and skipped the tuna because I remember boyfriend said the chili sauce was really spicy. Thoughts? It was not as horrific as it sounds and tasted ok. The XO one oddly had mayo underneath and wasn't spicy at all (very typical Lee Kam Kee). It didn't feel very Japanese but then this is supposed to be creative fusion.
