AU / Water is the source of all life, especially in a harsh desert with little to no fresh water sources. Waterholes are few and far in between. Being an incalculable source of food, they must be treated with respect. The Anangu people have very few fresh water sources available, thus seeing the Mutitjulu waterhole, pictured above in the afternoon, as a sacred place, connected to creation stories and a prime hunting ground. Leura Chinese - Leura, NSW 🥢🎩 Our very favourite local Chinese at Katoomba was unexpectedly closed for flooring repairs so we were forced to go to Leura, (we got takeaway)... It's a cute little place. Has wonderful signage/font and average/good food. I feel mean saying that because it looks DELICIOUS in the pics but it really wasn't 😌 🥡 Short soup was good, not great. 🥡 Salt and pepper prawns were ok..not enough flavour. 🥡 Mongolian Lamb was good but pretty average. 🥡 Peking beef wasn't Peking beef, they must've given us someone else's dish. We didn't realise til we got home ☹️ It was some sort of weird tomatoey/sweet + sour flavour. 🥡 The fried rice was nice and the dim sims were good! Thank god Katoomba is open again now. The magic of Uluru can't quite be captured, it's somewhere you really do need to experience for yourself. We were totally blown away by the sheer size of it both up close and from afar. Be sure to stop in at the cultural centre which houses a vast array of information about Anangu culture, art shops, cafe and gift store. We started with the Mala walk which is guided by a Ranger and is a fantastic intro to the some of the sacred sites & rock art. Following this we chose to continue with the full base walk covering approx 10.6km. 30/4/2024 灣仔Uluru餐廳 自修室服務顯窩心 曾經喺2023年發生大火而重新裝修、主打西餐而寵物友善嘅灣仔「Uluru」餐廳暨咖啡店，以黑白色同藝術做主題，門口雖細，但係位於一樓嘅餐廳原來空間幾大，主要分成兩個區域，環境舒適，非常適合做自修室【※見圖1至圖2】。餐廳四邊牆壁都係以黑色線條人手繪畫出來嘅圖案，風格獨特，據講係一班學生花徂兩個月時間去裝飾同繪畫嘅【※見圖3、圖7、圖8、圖9】。 餐廳老闆知道學生考試期將近，所以早前喺4月18號宣佈免費開放餐廳畀學生做自修室，學生只須持有學生證就可以喺星期一至五晏晝2點半至5點半期間，光臨餐廳自修。餐廳更會窩心送上飲品同甜品畀每一位學生【※見圖4、圖5】，而飲品同甜品都可以自選【※見圖6】。 據餐廳負責人阿樂同我哋講，開放餐廳畀學生做自修室並非宣傳伎倆，而係熱心老闆想支持一班應試學生：觀乎並非每一位學生都可以安坐家中自修，而當餐廳本身晏晝2點半至5點半期間往往客流極少，又望到快餐店呢個時段總係有大批學生團堆自修，附近自修室又迫爆，就產生開放餐廳畀學生自修嘅諗法。老闆起初打算提供零食畀學生，但係經過考慮認為提供蛋糕甜品類畀學生會更開心，於是乎同糕點大廚商量之後推出徂多款甜品畀學生選擇。安排學生入座亦會考慮到現場環境，若果遇到有顧客喺道謦欬，佢哋會安排學生到較適合位置，亦會注意燈光安排，因為每日未開始提供場地做自修室之前，佢哋會趁現場顧客較少箇時熄徂部份燈光，響應環保。 該區嘅鄰舍輔導會有見及此，更準備徂為學生而設嘅禮品包擺放喺餐廳入面【※見圖10】。禮品包入面有一啲舒緩壓力嘅用品，例如：舒緩眼睛疲倦嘅眼膜、零食、減壓公仔、同埋鄰舍輔導會嘅資料等，為學生應付課業同應試打氣。 人間有愛，喺呢個人情味滿滿嘅社區關懷故事充份體現，實在值得行有餘力嘅商家行號借鏡。 #NIHK #香港餐廳 #咖啡店 #Uluru #UluruHK #自修室 #免費自修室 #DSE學生 #文憑試學生 #應考學生 #應試學生 #莘莘學子 #社區關懷 #熱心支持 #人間有愛 #鄰舍輔導會 #寵物友善 #窩心 #灣仔
