November one month one palette intro 🎨 This is actually a two weeks one palette though 😅 My friend gave me this yesterday as an early birthday gift, so I thought I’d use it for the rest of November. It is the Viseart petit pro apricotine palette. This is stunning and I just love both the inside and outside of it! November has been crazy, completing our bathroom renovation, doing some smaller projects in our apartment, moving back to our apartment and a busy period at work. I've been decluttering my make up collection and it feels like pulling teeth. It is hard! I wear make up most days and am working towards a more curated make up selection; I know what I like and dislike now and don’t feel like I want to try it all. My skin is light medium with a yellow undertone and I really enjoy a warm eyeshadow palette. But looking at the Nars Afterglow and the Viseart Petit Pro Apricotine palettes, the colours and tone are somewhat similar once applied. Formula-wise, I prefer Viseart to Nars eyeshadows but the Nars palette was a love at first sight - the colour story is beautiful. I enjoy every single shade, even the shimmers, which is a rarity. And all in all, it is a little more versatile and because of that, the Nars palette is staying. Do you declutter? Stepped out of the house on Saturday morning to what the first day of Fall should have felt like back in September. Did a mini declutter while cleaning up my makeup space today. Had to chuck the paris edit and apricotine from @viseart (cause they grew mouldy), both the mini and large contour palette from @kvdbeauty, and some jelly much eyeshadows from @colourpopcosmetics, which have dried out. The most upsetting one was the Paris edit palette from @viseart - I received it only a couple of months ago in Sep, and it has turned mouldy. Apricotine turned mouldy too - but granted that was a few years’ old. All my other palettes which are stored in the same drawer are fine. Does any one else have the same issue with Viseart palettes turning mouldy very quickly? I’m glad to have at least gotten some use out of Apricotine, KVD’s contour palette and the Colourpop Jelly much shadows though. 2022 Makeup inventory part 9/12: Eyeshadow palettes Hello! Here's the most exciting category of them all, eyeshadow palettes! I destroyed a bunch during the year and brought in 6 new. (The Sigma palette is actually a 2020 purchase but didn't arrive by last year's inventory.) The Nyx magnetic palette is holding all of my Nyx eyeshadows, which is a mixture of the Brights and the Utopia 16 pan palettes. The Mac magnetic palette in the top left corner contains the entire Zoeva palette and the leftovers of any other palette you can't find on the picture compared to last year's photo. All of my eyeshadows function as singles now (except for the Too Faced just peachy) because I turned them all into magnetic or repanned them. So I traveled with these mini palettes: @viseart Petit Pro Apricotine because it’s on my #tinypans Project @natashadenona Mini Nude palette, thinking I should use it more. But looking at the swatches, there’s only subtle differences in tone between the two for most shades. Viseart is more orange while ND is brown. Already loving the @viseartparis Apricotine 🧡 I looove peachy copper tones and these did not disappoint! Everyone who has this palette loves it and I can already see why 🙂 Also, I've been enjoying the @lauramercier tinted moisturizer. I don't put a lot on but I like that my skin still looks like skin. It's not high coverage and I don't expect it to be. This might just be what I've been looking for! 💋Makeup Comparison Monday: @Viseart Paris Love Letter💋 I received the most beautiful love letter in the mail today, and I cannot wait to wear it! It truly reminds me of spring, those careful warm days with flowers abloom and the sun's rays bringing comfort and healing after a long winter. 💋I will always be 100% honest, so here is my Viseart Collector first impression. Some folks have compared it to Apricotine, but honestly, I feel Apricotine is more orange-based. I found more similar shades within the beautiful Solstice Palette and a peachy shade that is similar within Milieu, but that's where my dupes end. The shade Chocolatier, a Neutral Brown in Love Letter resembles the shade Duir of Solstice- but Duir is slightly warmer toned. The shade Letterbox resembles but does not dupe out Langour. 💋Perhaps the closest "dupe" I could find was for Lovelorn, a creamy cantaloupe, for Creme Brulee (slightyl less peach) and Chiffon (more coral based), but again, they're not 100% identical. 💋I included photos next to Paris Nudes and Coy to also give you a good grasp as to how the shades look! 💋I will say this Is more neutral on my complexion than I expected, and that sets it apart from my other palettes. I personally believe the beauty of Viseart is in the formula (the BEST mattes and super safe for my sensitive eyes) and the under tones. The subtle nuances you may not see at a quick glance as you're scrolling through Instagram can make all the world of difference upon application. This can elevate a good look to one that seems completely suited for you and your complexion and why i personally regard it as my favorite of all time. 💓💓What do you think? 💋Makeup Request Monday 🐶: @viseart Apricotine vs Tarte Juicy Palette💋 In my recent story, I asked what you want to see more of, and the overwhelming answer was for comparisons with swatches being a close second. Third place was essentially a tie between looks and dog pics. Let's be honest, you're here for the dogs, right @my.beauty.addictions 😂😂? 💋When my sweet friend @neese_xo asked if the Tartelette Juicy and Viseart Apricotine were at all similar, I answered with a resounding and immediate no. Both are gorgeous in their own ways with the Viseart being far more peach and the Tartelette Juicy palette more pink. The closest comparison I would have for the Viseart Apricotine would honestly probably be Viseart Spritz which is a more colorful and richer version with different undertones. 💋Swipe for swatches of apricotine and pics next to Tarte Tartelette Juicy, Viseart Solstice Petit Pro, Viseart Spritz Edit, and Viseart Neutral Mattes 2 Milieu (@myonesweetrose just posted the prettiest pic of this palette, it's among my favorites)! 💋One thing that definitely stands out for me is the depth of shimmer in Viseart Apricotine and Spritz edit. The swatch on the left (of the two finger swatch) is from Apricotine - one of my all time favorite light golden champagne shimmer. The other shimmery swatch is from the Spritz Edit and has the prettiest shimmer flecks in it. Both are gorgeous on the lid and bring light and life to wherever you apply them, and they both stay in place on my heavily hooded monolids. An added bonus? They do not fall out, and they do not irritate my sensitive eyes! 💋I'll post more pics on my blog soon, but for now, I hope this was helpful!
