File under #whyIlovemaine ... we found a retirement community for our two hens (who are actually still laying and quite healthy- but we wanted a winter break and are too busy) - how did we find this gorgeous luxury aviary owned by a lovely couple in the #breadbasket of Maine who happened to be looking for more hens, you ask? Well our midcoast village’s restaurant’s waitress happened to also be a postmistress in this village by the crook in a river and she connected us just yesterday after meeting us Saturday - #oldworldinternetsofpeoplefacetoface They hens were already enjoying a dustbath after their first car ride, but the Rooster May be a bit of a shock! #lovemymainemoreandmorestill
