Windswept and incredibly content in Boothbay Harbor, Maine 😌 I've never liked having my photo taken or seeing photos of myself, and I'm trying to overcome that by actively asking Hazz to take pictures of me and us when we travel nowadays. I'm learning to like seeing my laughter lines because it reminds me that I've had an awful lot to smile about in this life. I'm also learning to take time away from or at least take my time with photography on trips. I see the world in images, its just the way my brain works, and while that makes me happy, I also tend to lose that lasting feeling of presence in a place or moment because I get so immediately excited about capturing it without giving myself a chance to feel it. So many memories of our relatively recent trips are a little blurry already because I was only half there/looking through a lens and while I have images I'm proud of to look back on, I can't quite recall the sensory details when I close my eyes and imagine I'm back there.
