After an exciting week in California, we are enjoying a break in Fiji before we are ready for some serious wining in New Zealand and Australia.
At @sofitelfiji we discovered an excellent rosé from outside the Mudgee region (NSW) 600 m.a.s.l. north west of Sydney. On paper this blend could have been from Medoc in Bordeaux, but it is made as a rosé and it is Australian!😊
This rosé is now 7 years, and has such exciting power and finesse! No doubt - with a Medoc blend you would expect ageing potential, but this is the first time we experience this from a rosé wine.
Here in Fiji we have paired this wine with various fish dishes incluuding a yellow fin tuna steak. Delicious!
This well made rosé has pronounced aromas of strawberries and cheeries.
On the palate - fruity with good acidity and notes of ripe cherries.
Simply an excellent rosé!
