Pleasure Island was my 2nd home from the moment I turned 18 until it closed, often going three nights in a row. I met some of best friends there. We line danced in 8Trax, hung out in the Mannequins DJ booth, celebrated many 21st birthdays, had the bartenders make us Shirley Temples loaded with more fruit than soda before we were old enough to drink. I cried like a baby the night it closed. I still miss Pleasure Island but LOVE Disney Springs - where I am now in life, I probably wouldn’t go clubbing let alone make it out past 10PM!
