Meine zwei Mäuse 🥰🥰 In den letzten Wochen ist so viel passiert! Erst war Ostern & am Ostersonntag seit ihr 3 Jahre alt geworden! 🐰 🎉 Dienstag nach Ostern fing dann die Eingewöhnung im Kindergarten an! Ich hab mir vorher so Sorgen gemacht, ob meine drei Wochen Urlaub langen, ob es so schnell klappt, weil ihr noch nie in Fremdbetreuung wart! Aber ihr habt von Anfang an so toll mitgemacht, natürlich auch zwischendrin mal mit einem nicht ganz so guten Tag, aber nach 3 Wochen hieß es, die Eingewöhnung ist vorbei ☺️🎉 Jetzt geht ihr seit einer Woche halbtags in den Kindergarten und habt super viel Spaß dort, natürlich wissen wir das es auch mal Tage geben wird wo es nicht so toll klappt oder irgendwas ist aber auch diese werden wir wuppen 😊 Und als ob das alles nicht für so kleine Menschen genug wäre, seit ihr auch seit heute eine Woche tagsüber windelfrei unterwegs (wollten sie von selbst)😊 Und außer ein paar kleinen Unfällen zwischendurch klappt es auch ohne große Probleme! Where is your favourite place? I love Paris. I love France. I was last there in 2018 and I spent the better part of a day perched on a stone bench reading a book outside Le Louvre. The sun was shining and as the morning went on, the masses arrived. Taking photos, lining up to see art work, having a break from wandering the city. I saw people from all walks of life, all on their own journey. People watching in Paris is the best. I was fortunate to have already explored the city many, many times. So taking the day to read, people watch and soak up the city really made sense to me. A slow pace in a bustling metropolis. Paris isn’t everyone’s favourite. But it certainly has my heart. Save these recipe ideas 1. Doodhi/Bottle gourd rice Wash & soak rice for a bit. Grate a good 3-4 spoons of doodhi for every 2-3 spoons of rice. Heat your pressure cooker and add a good amount of ghee. Add some hing/asafoetida along with cumin seeds and then add the grated gourd. Cook well for about 5-7mins (do not brown). Once done, add rice and water along with salt. Pressure cook for 3 whistles and 5mins slow. This is the most wholesome comfort food everrrrr 2. Mushy veg rice topped with coriander Wash and soak rice for a bit. Pressure cook it with medium to small pieces of potato. Once done slightly mash this mix up and set aside. Pressure cook all the veggies of your choice, I used-carrot and French beans (you can add anything u like). Set aside once done Heat a pan, add a good amount of ghee, throw in some fine chopped onions and garlic for flavour, add salt, jeera & black pepper powder for flavour. Add the rice mix as well as the boiled veggies along with the water. Cook well and adjust consistency as required. Finish with freshly chopped coriander. 3. Veg coconut stew with Steam rice Chop carrots and potatoes into medium sized cuts ( for non vegetarians - you can add a choice of meat too) Take a pot, heat ghee, add some whole spices, I used- cardamom,star anise, cinnamon and black pepper. Add some mustard seeds and curry leaves. Add thinly sliced onions and cook till translucent. Add some grated ginger garlic and then throw in the veggies (if u add meat, add it before the veggies and cook for a bit) Add some coconut milk and adjust consistency adding hot water to the mix. Boil and bring to simmer for 15mins or so. let’s be real for a moment ⬇️ for as long as I can remember, my mom has battled health issue after health issue. from a young age I have watched a woman face these challenges with bravery and strength to overcome them. She was born with a rare leg disease that flared up at the age of 12 and ultimately prevented her from engaging in physical activities that most of her friends were doing. Her right leg is essentially permanently swollen due to the inability of her body to drain lymph fluids from that leg, yet she still provided my sister and I with the most that she could. She battled a 7 pound tumor that grew in her stomach. The doctor said it was the biggest tumor he had ever seen 🤯 just to put it into perspective, that’s almost the size of a baby… her story doesn’t stop there though. She developed some serious cardiac issues which forced her into a surgery where they had to “fry” certain parts of her heart. The doctors were essentially trying to rewire the electrical system in her heart. After surviving that, a couple years later (as of last year) she gets diagnosed with a sever autoimmune disease that mimics cancer which is why she’s on chemo. Now, that autoimmune disease is affecting her heart and the doctors are trying to figure out how to treat it. Two nights ago her heart stopped while she was in the ER. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to be there but you best believe I was on my knees praying. A boy mom 💭 I didn’t have any expectations for the gender of the baby we made however there were parts of me that almost knew he was going to be a boy. I didn’t follow any old wives tales, or any freaky stories to make him a boy lol. Out of all the hands I was dealt with my pregnancy, receiving the best and happiest baby boy that made everything worth it. I didn’t think shopping for a baby boy would be so hard, but with every single thing having either dinosaurs or paw patrol it in, it made it a little difficult. But overall I ended up pushing my love of certain pop culture references onto him. 😅 We are going to raise the most respectful, kind, caring, compassionate little boy who everyone is going to feel safe around. While having kids close together also has its benefits, I simply love getting to have that time with my youngest when the older two are at school. Gray was born when the twins started kindergarten, so I’ve always got that few hours in a school day where we get our time together. Since she’s also 5 years younger, I get time after she goes to bed to spend time with our older two. When I was pregnant, I stressed about that age gap, now I love it. 💖
This morning, I had a consultation with a prospective client...as we got to the end of the call, she told me ⤵️ "You've taken in everything I've talked about and thrown it back to me in little bite-sized pieces that I can easily digest." Jehovah-Shalom: The Lord is Peace. There are so many different names for God, and they all declare an attribute of God that makes Him so great. But this one is absolutely my favorite, and let me tell you why: Apart from God, there is no peace. There may be happiness, something you really like to do that keeps you going, excitement, whatever it may be. But deep down, are you truly at peace? Do you have the joy in your heart that will sustain you through every situation you find yourself in? Are you unsure how to truly forgive someone, bound in the chains of addiction or sin, or just lost? When I came to the Lord, I found a peace like nothing else I could describe. This type of peace really only comes from the Lord, and it’s the peace that I have knowing that I am saved, I am forgiven, and I am loved. This is the type of peace I carry with me through good times and bad times. I carry this peace knowing that God is taking care of me no matter what comes my way (Jehovah-Nissi: the Lord our banner). ”When Gideon realized that it was the angel of the Lord, he cried out, “Oh, Sovereign Lord, I’m doomed! I have seen the angel of the Lord face to face!” “It is all right,” the Lord replied. “Do not be afraid. You will not die.” And Gideon built an altar to the Lord there and named it Yahweh-Shalom (which means “the Lord is peace”). Nur würde ich das manchmal gerne langsamer genießen. Der Gedanke, dass sie in weniger als 5 Monaten 1 Jahr alt wird, macht mich total verrückt. Ich dachte vor ihrer Geburt nicht, dass das so emotional werden kann. Ja, es sind noch 4,5 Monate aber auch diese werden schneller rum gehen, als mir manchmal lieb ist.
