Today, 3rd July, 2022(Sunday), Save Earth For Life conducted it's first round of ration distribution at Narayana Lane Silchar. First round covered 70+ families with the basic essentials such as rice,dal,oil,salt,soap and medicines. The current conditions in Assam are very poor and people have lost access to basic needs such as food, water, and shelter. Save Earth For Life is trying its best to help these individuals to cope up with the current scenario and have a hope for a better tomorrow. While floods are beyond the control of any human being, the ability to assist the victim still remains within our capacity. The Bihar and Assam floods have caused several deaths and have injured a large magnitude of people who reside in the aforesaid regions. However, only one of these two regions had the privilege to acquire help from the Government. The State of Bihar was awarded Rupees 500 Crores to revive the region as well as provide ex-gratia to the victims of the flood, while the State of Assam was left to dry. The State of Assam had requested Rupees 2939 Crores to rebalance the region. The request is still being processed to this date, Lakhs have been affected with a death toll of 174.
