Headed to Fripp this morning which made me think of this sweet session on the driftwood beach recently 🥰 The beach is one of my favorite places for family sessions, especially when toddlers are included! I promise to pull out all my tricks even when they just want to pick up shells or run in the water ;) my biggest piece of advice to mom & dad: “Just smile through the chaos and let them have fun!” I say this because when I get your little cutie to smile (and look) at the camera - we want you to be ready too!! The Castro Family 💕 Fun fact: This session is a reshoot. The first shoot we had was in March and it was in the morning and when we arrived to the location, the wind was WHIPPING and so cold. I told them they could borrow my cardigan (that I keep in my car) to wrap their baby in so she didn’t freeze and it helped but overall it was just so windy and cold and hard to work with. Although I still photographed the session and had enough to deliver a full session I just felt that the overall experience was rushed and miserable because of the circumstances. I still sent a preview over to Arlette and told her that I would love to do a reshoot for her and her family if she was up for it. So we scheduled for a reshoot and it was daylight and dark compared to how the first shoot went. The wind was calm, the sun was soft and it was WARM. So much better weather conditions and we had a great time. Although I still could’ve worked with what I had originally I just felt overall that the experience wasn’t the true “Alexis Caroline Photography” experience. Thankfully we were able to reshoot and catch these gems. 🤩
