DISNEYLAND DISABILITY SERVICES CALLBACK Ok they finally called me back and basically told me what many of you have been told, that the service will remain as a case by case basis. He also told me that the verbiage on the website was just to get it “back to what it was intended but it wasn’t changing the service”. He also backed away from my comments that the verbiage goes against the ADA Title III. 🙄 I informed him of the current problem at the parks being that some CMs at the umbrellas and City Hall/Chamber of Commerce are going by the website and declining people. Telling folks you don’t seem autistic, you are fine cognitively, and other just truly sad biased statements.🤦🏻♀️ I told him his department needs to talk to leadership at the parks to get this cleared up. Whether or not that happens remains to be seen. It is a common thing that one hand at Disneyland doesn’t know what the left hand is doing. Sigh. So my recommendation still stands, ask for a lead or manager if you have any issues and encounter any biased statements. I want to add that ANY encounter with a CM who uses biased language with you to remember to get their name, location, date and time of encounter and send an email to Disability Services AND go to City Hall to report it. That behavior is not acceptable and you have a right to be treated with respect. Not rolling eyes and outright rudeness about your condition. 👉🏼Remember the changes to registration begin 6/18 with the location for it being at certain ticket booths in the esplanade and no longer inside the parks. UPCOMING OFFICIAL AND UNOFFICIAL DISNEYLAND EVENTS I have updated my Anaheim Convention Center / Area Hotels / and Official Privately run Disneyland events charts. This are also saved in my IG Highlights because it is a static place you can look for my posts. ‼️READ THROUGH FOR DETAILS An Unofficial Privately run Disneyland day is an event organized and run privately within one or both parks with meet ups at certain areas at certain times. Make note of timing and locations for Group Photos as some events have large attendance numbers (Like Nurses Day did😳😁) and it will impact that specific area anywhere from 15 to possibly 30 minutes depending on how long it takes to get together and snap that photo. 👉🏻Some have attraction takeovers too and be sure you make note of those times and locations as they could impact the attraction and the surrounding area. I included CHOC Walk in the official list because this one is more of a shared event. The UNOFFICIAL events will NOT affect park hours but may impact certain areas in their schedules, as I mentioned above, so BE PREPARED and aware of the day’s events by checking their Facebook, Instagram, or websites for details. I’ve put the private events’ website and Instagram information in the slide for reference. The Disneyland OFFICIAL after hours events affect hours and they are SEPARATELY ticketed events like Star Wars Nite and Pride Nite. These two will BOTH close Disneyland Park to regular guests at 8pm each event night. STOP SHARING THESE I know you think it’s a kind gesture to share them but you are exposing your account if you have a pass or your ticket. I have noticed more people saying a friend or someone removed their reservations. Anyone scanning these to add to their app can then add your ticket/pass. ‼️Please, stop exposing your ticket/pass info unnecessarily. I’ve tested it and I’ve seen a person’s account. I also know through experience that adding a ticket/pass to your app gives you access to modify any reservations under those accounts. May 11th will bring the return of two Disneyland guided tours, and oh my GOODNESS how quickly I added these to my Disneyland Bucket List! “Disneyland Railroad Tour” and “Cultivating the Magic Tour” both offer participants a guided walk around Disneyland, with the chance to get some behind-the-scenes views as well as insight and stories. The Disneyland Railroad Tour brings guests aboard the Lilly Belle, which is a true piece of Disneyland history. The Cultivating the Magic Tour visits and gives exclusive insight into the flora of the park, which is enough to make any Disney-loving plant parent’s heart burst. Guests will be able to make reservations for these tours beginning April 30th. Remember that you DO need to have a Disneyland ticket and reservation for the day of your tour!!

Have a food allergy? As long as you’re vocal about it, Disneyland is probably the SAFEST place you can be! When I was visiting Disneyland earlier this year, I stopped by the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor for a treat. I have a cinnamon allergy, and have had a run-in with a waffle cone in the past made with cinnamon… a mistake that only has to happen once! When ordering my ice cream, I asked if there was cinnamon in the cone, and confirmed that, yes, it was for a food allergy. Long story short, that basically shut production DOWN. Ingredients were checked, surfaces and tools were swapped out and sanitized to prevent cross-contamination. I felt like a high-maintenance menace, but I was also SO appreciative that it was being taken so seriously. People who know me, know I am a HUGE flower lover. The flora around Disneyland is such a favorite detail of mine, and I’m stopping to admire each blossom all throughout the day. Amongst the cosmos, anemones, and tabebuia, did you know that Disneyland has its very own type of rose?? Next time you’re visiting, look for the vibrant Disneyland Floribunda Rose. In the early 2000s, Disney’s horticulture team (hello, dream job??) took on the task of coming up with a signature flower for the park. They knew this flower would need to have large blooms and an eye-catching color, and would be able to withstand things like pests, disease, prolonged sun exposure, and inquisitive guests! This rose struck them as the perfect fit 🙌🏼 We are entering Southern California’s first rose cycle of the year— say hello to these gorgeous blossoms next time you’re around!
