Magic Kingdom Dapper Day, Spring 2024 🏰 I truly felt like I was living the Cinderella fantasy on Dapper Day! Just an ordinary girl who works hard and is kind to others experiencing a glow-up and having the time of her life for one precious moment. 😁 My “glass slippers” were pretty brutal on my feet and I ended up skipping out of the ball early to go home and rest, but I had an AMAZING time talking to friends new and old and getting to show off my look with OG Cindy herself. 🏰 I didn’t plan this look out far in advance, but I knew I wanted to wear something I already had in my closet for Dapper Day. I had bought this vintage square dancing skirt at an antique mall this summer decided it would be fun to take out for a spin. When looking on eBay for vintage bolo ties, I found this stagecoach one and was inspired to do a western style Cinderella look with it! I did end up buying a new shirt, headband, belt, and boots to complete the look. I would have tried to thrift them if I had had this idea more than a week in advance of the event 😆. My jewelry was already in my closet and so were my socks, which you can’t see in this picture, but they have the mice and bluebirds on them sewing her pink dress. Epcot Dapper Day, Spring 2024 🐠 I know we all like to complain about the weather at Dapper Day, but seriously this one was SO hot. Like July hot. I was so thankful I a) had my sunbrella b) drank lots of water and c) wore a lightweight outfit. Even with all that, all it took was one 30 minute mix-and-mingle in the direct afternoon sunlight to overheat me so bad it took hours to recover. All of these photos were taken at the end of the day and it’s a miracle I was still smiling! 🐠 That being said, how could I not smile in an outfit this cute? This look was a refashion of a thrifted 80s two-piece set. The conch shell print was perfect for this Conch girl and I’m so happy with how it turned out! I kept the accessories simple and just let the clothes take center stage. This entire look cost me less than $20 and only a few hours of sewing time.
