Sooo. Final chapter of FOS posts... For Now! 😂 #festivalofslaps is a gift that keeps on giving and has picked up lots of awards including being a BAFTA Nominee Film! Which led me to attending my first ever @bafta awards ceremony, thanks to @abdou__cisse @cheribombbomb @gtelfs @thedazeyhillsco It was a beautiful end to a very exciting project! If I’m honest it was a stressful build up trying to decide what to wear. I really don’t know how these celebrities that attend lots of awards ceremony’s do it, but I guess they have a great team innit! Well guess what? I also had a GREAT team who got me ready for the day and as you can see the end product was absolutely brilliant. I looked like a very delectable SNACK oooo 🤣💃🏿❤️. It truly was a village that got me ready and I would love to thank you all my nearest and dearest for all your support. Particular and very special mentions to Temisan my dearest friend, sister, CEO extraordinaire of @naborhi.africa for project managing the whole process and making sure her team of designers in Nigeria🇳🇬 did an excellent job. Big up all our Nigerians Tailors and Fashion Designers. Temisan the many sleepless nights were worth it and I CANNOT thank you enough for all your help and support. You’re simply the best. Love you🤗 To my ride or die sister @tomeropee who definitely was NOT going to let me walk onto that red carpet looking anything but THE BEST! You know how much I love and appreciate you 🤗 Clive and Shola who styled my hair, Kabelo who did my make up, my sisters from our BBB group for all your great suggestions, and everyone who gave me a suggestion or a plug, I thank you all so very much. 🤗 It was a truly fun day rubbing shoulders with fellow Actors and Creatives in the Film Industry. Today is the day we attend the @bafta Awards Ceremony to celebrate this beautiful short film #Festivalofslaps being nominated for a @bafta award. I’ve never mentioned this before, but this film is so special to me for a number of reasons. The audition was done via zoom during lockdown which was a very difficult time for me (as with most people). @abdou__cisse and @hmwcasting were so gracious and patient during the audition process, and this was so helpful to me. Then when we got on set, @abdou__cisse @cheribombbomb @annamaccc & the entire crew did everything in their power to make sure filming was rigorous, but also a fun experience. And my most talented scene partners tom.moutchi @josh.edeki @tomiegbowon_ogunjobi Femi Ogunjobi, I salute you all. We did something special here. So, so, proud. Especially the incredible Supporting Actors who very patiently played their roles and made the scenes complete. Thank you 😊 @joygharoro ... I have no words...🙏🏿❤️😘. Then the actual premise of the film, celebrating #Blackmothers who often are the ones that hold down the family, but hardly ever get celebrated. It was an absolute honour to play that role.
