Came to have dinner @locanda.amalfi in downtown #pleasanton. Wow! I only have a few places where I’ve had pizza that was truly memorable. Regina Pizzeria in Boston, Lombardi's in New York, Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana in Pasadena, and now Locanda. . We started off with Mamma Carmelas Meatballs (not pictured). You get four generous sized meat balls in a tomato sauce. Came with a couple crostinis and topped with parmigiano Reggiano. . Main course started with the Meat lover pizza. San Marzano tomato sauce, Fior di Latte, Rovagnati prosciutto cotto, mild Italian sausage and black pepper salame. 🤤🤤🤤 Pizza was followed by a Pappardelle with a traditional bolognese ragu. . For dessert we had the Zeppole (think Italian bengiet) covered in powdered sugar and Nutella. Super friendly and welcoming staff. They do have a kids menu, but we didn’t even look at it 😅. I cant recommend this place enough. Got to enjoy a great dinner over @giannissanramon We started off with the Antipasto (not pictured) that consisted of cured meats and cheeses with Castelvetrano olives and balsamic Cipollini Onions. I had the pan seared maple leaf duck breast with spicy balsamic reduction. Came with fresh veggies and and grilled parmesan polenta. Some highlights for parents: . Make sure you have your proof of vaccination if you want to enjoy indoor dining. (County requirement). . large outdoor heaters available for those that choose to eat outside. . Tons of healthy options on the menu. . Kids menu options is limited, but it’s a lot of food! . We got a cool surprise envelope at the end of our meal! We can’t open it and find out what’s inside until we go back. It must be opened by the server at our next visit. . Parking on site is very limited. . The price can add up, but the food was worth it!
