WORKSHOP: Going thru the pics and vids from this wknd and came across this one. Woooow look at my babies, the square of color, on the right (Red leo, light pink leo, hot pink leo and blue leo) Doing very well in their first lyrical class at the very first convention/ intensive, next to dancers who do this several times a yr. These particular 5678'ers been w/me since ages 3,4,5 now 10,11 and soon to be 12. It brings a director a lot of joy to see the little girls who couldn't stand on one leg now dancing in front of dancers, teachers and choreographers that we've seen on TV, music videos and/or Broadway. Everybody knows I'm not a mushy person but on Sunday seeing the fruits of my labor got met a little emotional that I had to leave the room and today while watching this video I cried. I started the 5678 in my living rm w/4 girls now there's 30 pls. Since then I became a Studio owner, trained tons of kids past and present, shut down many of shows in this city, danced in the streets at every parade, got kids in the Nutcracker, into School of the Arts, and college. Weve won competitions, 2019 ROC awards, been on the radio, done photo shoots, walked red carpets and now we are taking National Dance conventions.
