Chazz Palminteri is “Sonny” from the classic flick, #ABronxTale (though the restaurant is located in Manhattan) I happened to be in mid-town, walking by and decided to finally try it out. The atmosphere was very homely and relaxing. I wasnt really hungry so I ordered light; had the Chicken Parmesan and penne pasta... DELICIOUS! I didn’t learn much about parrots that day to be honest, but this was a nice and calm difference from when we visited the Lion cage. New York the city that never sleeps... LITERALLY 🗽 Well for me getting to NY is super easy it’s only 4 hours away from D.C which means Bus is the easiest way to go 🚍(not the most pleasant experience but it’s cheap) My advice for NY especially for Day Trips is come PREPARED always have a fully charge power bank and hand sanitizer on deck. One thing about buying tickets for NY is it’s never too late you can always find a good deal. • • The spot featured is called “The High Line” which is one of my favorite spots it’s a Linear Park that was created on a former NY Railroad 🛤 above the streets of Manhattan West Side. It’s awesome to stroll through especially in the summer.

So we wanted to indulge ourselves more in the culture in Trinidad so we decided to visit the #dattatreyatemple. We saw the 85 FT Lord Hanuman Statue. It was magnificent. For those who don’t no Lord Hanuman is known as the best warrior among the Hindu gods since he protected the others from evil. He is considered the most revered disciple of Lord Rama for his efforts and bravery in defeating Ravan and assisting Lord Ram, Seeta and Ram’s brother Lakshman. (Yup I got a lil knowledge). So while we were there we meet a Swami ( A Hindu male religious teacher) and he gave us hot cross buns. It was so dope. Inside the temple was breathtaking, the intricate detail of the temple was amazing. They didn’t allow cameras inside and we had to take off our shoes to go in. It was a awe inspiring experience..... We learned some historical facts on their rum and they also showed us how they make it, with sugar cane and molasses. We also got to taste the sugar cane, molasses and of course, the rum! Jamaica is so rich in culture. I love the fact that I was able to bring my children there to learn about their heritage. Jamaica is a small country but it has a huge impact on the world. From the food, to the music, and most importantly, the people. 🗽✈️☀️NY TRAVEL GODS☀️✈️🗽 • This is a funny story... So, when we arrived in Cuba, we had some issues with getting our cameras and mics past customs. (Long story short they took our mics away!! 😡) Anyway, we finally got to our @airbnb to settle in. Our host told us that we could walk down to the hotel to get WiFi and food. So we were like, “Bet, let’s roll.” As we were walking to the spot, mad people where staring at us. We were definitely on our New Yorker flex so we stood out as per usual. A few dudes were trying to sell us stuff and others wanted to get us to come to their restaurants. We were like, “Nah, we good.” But, there was one dude that was very persistent (Dude in the second pic on the left with the same hair line as my camera man on the right 😂😂😂) So we decided to go with the persistent dude. He spoke a little English and told us he had a restaurant for us with good food. As we are walking, he makes a few strange turns and automatically, our New York City Street Smart Smart Spider Senses kick in! (When you’re from the hood, that means its time to be sharp and ready to scrap! 👊🏽) So I’m thinking to myself, “We ain’t familiar with this hood, so Im gonna have to hit this ninja and run” @ronwalcott is behind me and he is thinking the same thing! Dude wasn’t saying anything and we were in some shady looking spots. As soooon as I was bout to wild out on dude and press him about where he’s taking us... we turned into a restaurant. 😅 We ended up eating some good food and meeting some great people! We met the owner of the restaurant and he liked us so much, that he took us to a day club the next day. He also invited us back to his restaurant to get footage, brought us in the kitchen and we watched them make our food. It was an amazing time! So this goes to show, that you have to step outside your comfort zone sometimes and trust new people.
