. иногда по ночам мне становится невыносимо, фонари прожигают защитные шторы насквозь, я опять концентрирую взгляд не на том, что мне снилось, а на том, чему снова присниться мне не удалось. встав с кровати, боюсь провалиться сквозь собственный пол, через пять этажей проработанных личных историй пролетев, приземлиться на бурый осенний подзол посреди замерзающих северных хвойных предгорий. пересилив себя, пробираюсь вдоль стен коридора, словно между высоких подветренных мраморных скал, до священных ворот моего расписного хеврона, но и там этот свет пробивается в толще зеркал. укрываюсь на улице, спящей в молчании истинном, в невесомой витрине стоит молодой энарей, облака, затмевая собою всё небо над иннсмутом, лишь усилят контраст, сфокусировав сотни огней. мне приходиться двигаться в сторону тёмного моря (от горящих прожекторов больше нигде не спастись), где туман покрывает безмолвие матовым слоем, постепенно спускаясь под утренним натиском вниз. на льняном берегу время быстро проносится мимо, мои чувства оставлены там, на большой глубине, вот бы мне наконец утонуть в этом облике мнимом, как вишнёвая рама в картине, как ровер в луне. не найдя в искажённой воде своего силуэта, я взгляну на остатки часов в белоснежной руке, отпущу свои мысли, чуть-чуть не дождавшись рассвета, и тихонько усну на холодном янтарном песке.
