Our assignment was to translate a song into abstract art using line, shape, value, and texture. The only rule was that we couldnโt use color, only black, white, and gray. The obvious choice for me to do was @tfp_devotion โs โYouโre So Ugly When You Cryโ featuring Bert McCracken of The Used, since itโs been on loop basically since it was released. Instagram butchered the quality as always but Iโll put a higher quality photo on my story as well because it makes more sense if you can see all the details and listen to the song at the same time. If you want me to make a video explaining my process I totally will. I had so much fun making this and I really canโt explain in words how much this song means to me. Well I finally got a chance to make this post. Had a lot of fun Sunday night. I didnโt know @lockjaw_x_official was also going to be opening and wasnโt sure what to expect. But they were great and liked their performance and I will be looking more into them. Then @wearethenite performed and they were phenomenal. I hadnโt really listened their music before Sunday either but I enjoyed and I have been listening to their song good boy a lot (side note just for Kyle and Myles my head is doing great. Accidents happen). Then @tfp_devotion performed and I what I will say is that they werenโt really my kind of thing. I can see why people like them but it just not for me. But the main reason we went was for @deadonasunday. Man you did a great job. I loved the show and it was great meeting you I hope you are feeling better.
