My first experience as a theatre goer (that I remember anyway!) was Horrible Histories Terrible Tudors in 2019. It was super funny and just as much fun as the TV series and books (I love singing the songs of the TV show because they're silly and catchy). I even got a souvenir: a mug of one of their other show (Gorgeous Georgians & Vile Victorians). “Everyone deserves the chance to fly” 💚 . Is there a better place to spend a Saturday night than Oz? We had the most thrillifying return to Wicked, catching the current UK tour at @officialbradfordtheatres last night! Wicked was the first show I ever saw live in the West End, way back in 2019, and it opened me up to the utter magic of seeing musical theatre live and in person (definitely different to dancing round the kitchen singing along to the soundtracks very, very badly). The Wizard of Oz also holds very special memories to me of watching the DVD over and over with my Gran as a little girl, so this story and the music and the people on and off stage who have created this story will always mean so much to me. And I even managed to tick off another bucket list theatre moment that I never thought would happen seeing a @carlmanofficial Fiyero, I thought the moment had passed and I’d never witness your brilliance, but I was so lucky and honoured to have seen you take to the stage last night! (I might still humming ‘Dancing Through Life’ twenty one hours later) @itslaurapick and @sarah_c_oconnor were simply beautiful as the green and pink girls and I maybe even shed a little tear at ‘For Good’ at the end. “To the world we dream about, and the one we live in now” I’ve been lucky enough to have seen two previous national tours of #hadestown in SF - and of course already love it - so thought I knew what to expect when we decided to get tickets to see it on #broadway (bc @anidifranco as Persephone?? How could we not 🤷♀️🌟). But I was still unprepared for how blown away I was.
