Those of you lucky enough to be attending today’s final performance are in for a treat! Having attended last night I can attest the production has not lost steam as it approaches the end of the run. I particularly enjoyed the OUTSTANDING performance by Enzo Voci as The Man, and I would further nominate Brad Finch as best supporting actor for his portrayal of The Police Inspector. The whole production was a treat for the audience, but those performances stand out as true gems to my critical, theatre-aficionado mind! A very easy 5⭐️ from me for Mind Mangler at the Apollo Theatre 🧙🏻♂️ Admittedly, it felt like a very special show for me today. My grandad and I loved watching @mischiefcomedy together (I lost count of how many times we saw Peter Pan Goes Wrong) and three years ago today he passed away. Felt fitting that tonight I finally saw some of the Mischief Comedy gang in @themindmangler on stage🪄 Emotional investment aside, I absolutely loved this show. Laugh out loud funny from the start to the very end, I’m not sure I’ve ever heard an audience enjoy a show so much. The comedic timing of both Henry Lewis and Jonathan Sayer is absolutely impeccable - and though I would expect nothing less with their long, long list of achievements, it was an absolute joy to see on stage. Both utilise their improv skills to perfection through repeated audience interaction which blended seamlessly with more scripted moments. From a ‘quick fire Jesus’ display of magical prowess to revealing the secrets of anyone willing to sit in the stalls, the pace of the show doesn’t let up which only serves to increase the humour. Soon to be heading out on a UK tour, it’s not one to be missed for a truly enjoyable evening full of laughter. My first experience as a theatre goer (that I remember anyway!) was Horrible Histories Terrible Tudors in 2019. It was super funny and just as much fun as the TV series and books (I love singing the songs of the TV show because they're silly and catchy). I even got a souvenir: a mug of one of their other show (Gorgeous Georgians & Vile Victorians). Absolutely lovely to be seeing the first production in the new @thersc season, Shakespeare's early comedy 'Love's Labour's Lost'. It's finely done, and makes the storyline as clear as possible, along with it's wordiest moments. What I really loved was the casting (absolutely on point), the concept/choice of setting (Navarre is a lavish paradise resort), and the physical comedy (yes, shimmying up a palm tree). The latter had me laughing out loud along with the rest of the audience. It really tapped into the lightness and silliness that runs throughout the play, despite it's darker opening, ending and undercurrents. It's hard to believe that it's 20 years since the season of tragedies which truly changed my life as a 14/15 year old. I might not make it as often as I used to, I haven't had my mum's company there for 9 years, and it all still feels tinged with sadness and a kind of quiet yearning to talk about the theatre I see with her. But I find there is increasingly more joy to be found each time I go and I can imagine the things I would talk with her about. Душераздирающая и трагическая история войны, произошедшая вдалеке от фронта и проявившая лучшие человеческие и гражданские качества в девушках, ставших защитницами отечества, поражает своей искренностью и драматизмом. "Пять девушек-зенитчиц во главе со старшиной в мае 1942 года противостоят отряду отборных немецких диверсантов-десантников — хрупкие девушки вступают в смертельную схватку с крепкими, обученными убивать мужчинами. Светлые образы девушек, их мечты и воспоминания о любимых создают разительный контраст с нечеловеческим лицом войны, которая не пощадила их — юных, любящих, нежных. Но и через смерть они продолжают утверждать жизнь и милосердие." Трехчасовой фильм уложили в 1,5 часой спектакль и при этом не потеряли сюжетной линии.👍 Очень понравилось, как задействовали декорации к спектаклю. 👏Что касается эмоциональной стороны, то я сопереживала всем и каждому отдельно.😪 В нынешней реалии спектакль воспринимался еще душевнее, и каждый "выстрел", крик был в самое сердце.💔Мурашки по телу и слезы. Yesterday's matinee performance of #EdwardScissorhands was enchanting. @mbnewadventures delivered a wonderful production, bringing Tim Burton's 'fairytale' film to life on stage. As the story moved forward each dancer expressed their character and emphasised the neighbourhood families. Detailed staging was representative of the film but carried its own charm. The large cast portrayed the variety of characters but their ensemble numbers were beautiful to watch. However, I particularly enjoyed the final pas de deux, and the dancing topiary scene was a favourite too.

Так бы и произошло с героями пьесы Пулинович, если бы они однажды не встретились в почтенном возрасте. «Земля Эльзы» - спектакль о современной жизни, но несовременной любви. Два главных героя - Эльза Александровна и Василий Игнатьевич уже в возрасте за 70, за спиной у обоих большие испытания. Она - сосланная в российскую глубинку дочь репрессированного немца, всю жизнь терпевшая насилие, вышедшая замуж за нелюбимого мужа-тирана; он - также лишенный радостей взаимной любви и любимой работы. Оба - романтики, мечтающие о лучшей доле и прекрасных, чистых, взаимных чувствах. На фоне серости, нужды, грязи, зависти и злости, наперекор судьбе, поставившей, казалось бы, крест на их простом человеческом счастье, эти люди встретились, увлеклись общением и полюбили. Обычная деревня, обычные люди, деревенский быт, и вдруг среди всех этих узнаваемых образов появляется главная героиня: тонкая, нежная, светлая душа, забитая мужем, не знавшая семейного счастья, любви и тепла и настолько израненная сплетнями, что обросла для них броней. Игра актеров очень убедительна! Спектакль посмотрела на одном дыхании: трогательные и искренние сцены свиданий Эльзы с Василием.💞 Внутренние трагедии героев дались мне тяжело.😪Но героини смеются и плачут, спорят и поют, скандалят и сочувствуют. В конце Эльза произносит свой главный монолог: всю жизнь ее называли «фашисткой» из-за происхождения, а ведь земля у всех одна, значит, и национальность, в общем-то, единая. [OSVRT - PREDSTAVA] VAŽNIJE POLOVICE @teatarexit & @masina_igre Iako su 2019. zaživjele na daskama Teatra &TD, "Važnije polovice" nakon kraće stanke svoj su novi dom našle pod krovom Studija Exit u Gundulićevoj 37/1. Prema tekstu naših dviju dramaturginja Beatrice Kurbel i @mirnarustemovic, mlada i perspektivna Paola Slavica realizirala je ovu duodramu koja je, usput budi rečeno, i njezina prva režija. Zato (kako se u predstavi često ponavlja)... Srijedom ili o... VAŽNIJIM POLOVICAMA. Junakinje ove duodrame predstavnice su generacije Y, poznatije kao "milenijalci", te je i sama predstava najavljivana kao "predstava o milenijalcima za milenijalce" jer oni će se, naravski, u njoj najbolje pronaći, međutim... i generacija Z polagano "ulazi u njihove cipele" te i ona počinje pripadati kategoriji onih koji bi se itekako mogli naći u prikazanim situacijama. Jest da postoje znatne razlike u sagledavanju svijeta (20-ak godina razlike ipak nije malo), ali... neka pitanja ipak ostaju atemporalna, univerzalna za sve: Hoćeš li i kad dovršiti studije? Last weekend was hell - by which I mean that I finally took a trip to Hadestown 🌹 Personally, it’s a 4⭐️ show from me! It’s possible that I’m a victim of my own high expectations because I was a little disappointed with the show. Whilst as an overall production, it’s hard to fault, I found that the story telling and pacing was a little off. Anais Mitchell’s music was absolutely at the heart of this show and I have nothing bad to say about the jazzyfolk sound performed flawlessly by an incredibly talented 7-piece band. I genuinely cannot pick out a stand out song because there is too many to choose! From the opening number to the closing and everything in between I have been humming some variation of ‘Way Down Hadestown’ or ‘Wait for Me’ since I left the theatre. I did feel, however, that the sheer emphasis on musicality was to the detriment of the general storytelling, which was a shame. Still, I am very glad to have finally seen the show. Each cast member was given their time to shine and the performances of the entire cast were incredibly strong. I particularly enjoyed Zachary James’ Hades, reminiscent of that from Disneys Hercules (one of my all time favourite Disney villains). 얼숲감나무가 4월에 함께 한 무대는 공연배달 탄탄의 이강백 작 <내가 날씨에 따라 변할 사람 같소?> 1978년에 초연된 이 작품은 다른 이강백 작품과는 주제 의식과 내러티브에서 매우 결이 다르죠. 작가 자신도 언젠가 <내가 날씨에 따라 변할 사람 같소?>를 객석에서 보고는 ‘내 작품 같지 않다.’고 했다니까요. 1971년 동아일보 신춘문예를 통해 그야말로 혜성처럼 나타난 작가는 엄혹했던 70년대를 불편하고 불온한 시선으로 바라봤고 알레고리라는 독특한 형식으로 시대의 모순과 부조리를 풀어놓습니다. 은유와 상징을 통해 메시지를 전달하는 알레고리라는 표현 양식은 이강백 작가의 트레이드 마크이자 러브 마크라 할 수 있죠. 딱히 어디라고 확정 지을 수 없는 공간, 누구라고 특정할 수 없는 인물… 노아의 방주가 도착한 아라라트산인지, 하와가 먹은 선악과인지 <내가 날씨에 따라 변할 사람 같소?>에서도 알쏭달쏭한 설정의 알레고리 형식은 한결같습니다. 비 오는 날이나 맑은 날이나 변하지 않는 ‘사랑’이 극의 주제, 곳곳에 설치해 둔 웃음 코드가 연출의 의도대로 때맞춰 작동합니다. 초연 당시 이 연극의 코미디적 요소를 몰리에르의 희극과 비교하는 평들도 있었다고 합니다. 마침 저희 연극 모임의 5월 연극 나들이가 몰리에르의 <스카팽>입니다. 두 무대를 비교해 보는 것도 아주 흥미로울 것 같아 벌써 기대됩니다. 무대 위의 배우들은 김재건, 기정수, 이인철, 최용민 등 70대 현역. 1970년대 이 배우들이 연극계에 입문할 당시의 작품이 바로 이강백의 작품이 아니었을까요? 아마도 이 관록의 배우들에게는 더 뜻깊은 무대가 아니었을까 싶어 더더욱 힘차게 박수를 보냈습니다. 대학로 어느 무대에서도 만나기 어려운 국보급 배우들의 열정. 꼭 만나보시라 말하고 싶지만, 지난 일요일이 막공이었네요. 아쉽^^ 아참…, 그라시아~~스! #객석의로이 #얼숲감나무 #내가날씨에따라변할사람같소 #Workingonthetext #객석의형형한눈빛 #연극을읽다 #theatregoer #씨어터고어

Пусть встреча и затянулась, но это того стоило, и значит что режиссёра не хотели отпускать и было что обсудить с зрителями. Как и по мнению самого Владимира Сергеевича, такие встречи бывают не часто, поэтому они очень важны. [27.3. SVJETSKI DAN KAZALIŠTA] Kazalište je uvijek bilo na meti raznih kritika. Pripisivalo mu se štošta i činilo se sve, samo da se ono uništi. I danas svjedočimo tomu, ali na malo profinjenije načine. No... ono i dalje stoji! Ne da se! A tako i treba! Dok je vrijednih i kreativnih kazalištaraca (nije svatko glumac/redatelj/dramaturg/..., a još manje umjetnik) i nas kazalištoljubaca koji kazalištu poklanjamo čisto srce, Kazalište naše, bit ćeš ti nama dobro! •••••• Povodom današnjeg dana odlučila sam se napokon dati odgovor svima vama koji me često pitate koja je to moja omiljena predstava? Naime... na to pitanje nikada nije bilo niti će biti jednog i konačnog odgovora. Svakim odlaskom u kazalište ja se kao gledateljica mijenjam (nije li u tome i čar kazališta?) te ono što me oduševljavalo prije samo godinu dana, sada, jednostavno, više ne mora. Zato... Vodim vas iza svojih malih kazališnih kulisa i predstavljam vam svojih (zasad) TOP 10 kazališnih predstava. 1. PLUĆA - Znam da će se mnogi možda i začuditi da upravo njih stavljam na pijedestal, ali... uistinu je tako. Možda nije predstava koju sam pogledala mali milion puta kao neke druge, ali probudila je ono nešto u meni što će uvijek zatitrati na sam spomen ovoga naslova. Redateljica @aidabukvich živi je dokaz da za dobru predstavu nisu potrebni pompozna scenografija i napadna režija, već - Odmjerenost, Inteligencija i... Emocija. I, naravno, kako je riječ o duodrami, odličan glumački duo koji će u svakome trenutku disati kao jedno tijelo podijeljeno na dva imena - @jadrankadjo i @amar_bukvic.
No day but today, now is the time to seize the day! 🎭 Happy World Theatre Day everyone who celebrates it, so fun fact I didn't realize that today was that when I booked to get this today, (serious main character energy I know or should I say lead role energy 😆😎) I just contacted my usual tattoo parlor and asked to book to get a this tattoo done and they said they could do it today to which as I was on my way into the city to do it, I saw it was World Theatre Day so what perfect timing it is! [OSVRT - PREDSTAVA] PREDSTAVA KOJU ŽELIMO GLEDATI @aplauzteatar @kuca_nahero @empiriateatar @crni.macak_tim Što kod nas znači biti glumac? Umjetnik? Izvođač? Dok s jedne strane uvelike svjedočimo pomami mladih koji čeznu za zvanjem glumca/glumice (valjda zbog uvjerenja da se time stječe instant slava?), s druge pak strane zamjećujemo poveliku averziju prema umjetničkom području, a napose prema kazališnome djelovanju. Dok nova mlada glumačka imena naviru sa svih strana na našu (ionako premalu) dramsku scenu, zapažamo i sve veći nesrazmjer između broja umjetnika i broja radnih mjesta. Pretrpani ansambli poručuju: "Snađi se negdje drugdje", a često to drugo bude nezavisna, tj. neizvjesna scena koja isto tako već pomalo biva na aparatima. Glumci, umjetnici tako dolaze, prolaze - stoje. Stoje i čekaju - čekaju svoje mjesto pod svjetlima reflektora. Rad tako postaje smjena čekanja i kreiranja, a što ako vrijeme stane samo na ovome prvome jer, kad čekaš, vrijeme teče drugačijim tokom. Upravo motivom čekanja pozabavila se autorska četvorka koja ravnopravno potpisuje i tekst i režiju, a oni su: Rajna Racz (@beskrajna), Dina Vukelić (@dinavukelic), Melody Martišković (@svilena_nit) i Fabijan Komljenović. Glazbu potpisuje: @ruzmarin9. Kako to izgleda kada se ujedine književnoteorijsko (komparatističko) i umjetničko znanje? Što nam to, uz gore spomenute, ima za reći i veliki teoretičar književnosti Roland Barthes? Kakva je to predstava koju zapravo želimo gledati? Sve su to pitanja koja će vam se, više ili manje, pojaviti u glavi prije/za vrijeme/nakon izvedbe, a dobivanje odgovora ovisi samo i jedino o - vama.
