My two favorite words: easy luxury🥰 For instance: unagi donburi, which is actually on the higher end of the price list in Japanese rice bowl menus, right? But, I discovered it’s the EASIEST to make. You just have to prepare all the components and then assemble. First, cook your Japanese rice. Second, slice the frozen marinated unagi and air fry for 7-8 minutes. Make your eel sauce, which is really just equal parts soy sauce and mirin, and a bit of sugar (I use coco sugar) and reduce in a sauce pan until kinda thick. And then, scramble an egg in a non-stick pan, then while it’s still runny add the cooked unagi. Transfer it in a bowl over rice, and garnish with the eel sauce and togarashi. I would also add shredded nori and scallions if I had them. But anyway… so easy right?! And you can order your frozen unagi from @coldstorageph through their website or Grabfood. The 1-for1 #unadon at @ikurajapeastvillage is really amazing value-for-money and a simply superb dish. Very well-grilled and tasty.
