As we waited for the afternoon news as to what was to happen with regard to Level 3 in Auckland and was it to be Level 2 or 3 for the rest of NZ, I was also left to ponder was this a sign for a run down the hill or a portal to walk across the clouds to the Remarkables??? π§ββοΈπ§ββοΈπ€ . There was definitely a bit of magic in the air yesterday with snow in that inversion layer of cloud and plenty of people out and about enjoying nature's gifts. . A great day up the hill with a mate enjoying his last day in QT before heading back to Auckland and what we now know is to be at Level 3 for the next 12 days. . Stay safe out there peeps, wear a mask and we'll be back to level 1 in no time! . Or do you think we're better off sticking at Level 2 as this darstedly Covid virus swirls around the globe wrecking havoc on humans industrious nature and health??? . Yesterday with Coronet Peak closed for one day to get their on mountain staff up to speed with operating safely in Level 2, @joshfcamp , the legend wee doggie Escobar and I skinned up to the top for a peek. . As you can see, the snow is epic, and twas a bluebird day . Today Coronet is open again under Level 2, and you just know it's going to be an epic day. Got my L plates for #astrophotography a couple of nights back. . Definitely room for improvement and whilst I didn't ace it on my 1st outing had a great time, all rugged up in my ski gear sipping on hot soupπ. Add to that some good chat and excellent tips from @arrestedlightphotography who really knows his stuff when it comes to shooting astro (as well as knowing the names of the stars and their groupings) . Did you know there was a kiwi in the milky way? . I didn't but now it's been pointed out to me I'll be looking for that little kiwi everytime. According to Aboriginal legend there's an emu up there as well. . So watch this space I'll have another crack at shooting astro when the clouds have gone and see how it goes for round 2. ππ·ππ€l
