The wall dividing the pronaos from the naos of Balteni church, an edifice built in 1626 in the environs of Bucharest, Wallachia, in a transition style from the local Bulgarian -Serbian one to the Wallachian, sprinkled with Moldovan style elements. Syria 🇸🇾 Feb 1999 Homs, 88 miles and a two hours drive north of Damascus, is an industrial town. Other than being centrally located with easy access to some major sites, it has nothing much to offer. Although it does have a beautiful mosque, the Khalid Ibn al-Walid. Rebuilt in 1908, noted for its Ottoman architecture. Syria was ruled by the Ottoman Empire at the time. Topped by nine cupolas with a huge dome in its center. #3 Several walls and portals are constructed with black and white stones, known as *Ablaq Popular building material and style in several parts of Syria. This mosque has great importance, it holds the tomb of the commander of the Muslim armies, who brought Islam to Syria in 636 AD. Over the centuries, the tomb has become an important pilgrimage center. Homs, ancient Emesa, suffered greatly during the ongoing Civil War in the country in recent years. Surrounded by heaps of rubble, the mosque survived with considerable damage to its structure. *Ablaq, a technique by using light and dark stones in alternating courses of balanced proportions. EN: Hoşap Bridge is on the Hoşap Stream (Guzelsu) at the foot of Hoşap Castle within the borders of Van Province in Turkey. The bridge was built by Evliya Bey in 1082 AH / 1671 AD and is also named after him. The bridge, which has one large in the middle and two small pointed arches on the sides, was built of cut stone and is 32 m long and 5 m wide. There are triangular flood splitters on the pier on the upstream side of the bridge and flooding openings a little above them. A dynamism is provided by the alternating use of green and white stones in the arches and these openings. On the sides of the great arch, there are two inscriptions in Arabic, Persian and Turkish, which give the name of the bridge's patron and the date of its construction, which are framed with ornaments. ————————————————————————— TR: Hoşap Köprüsü, Van ili sınırları içinde Hoşap Kalesi’nin eteğinde Hoşap suyu (Güzelsu) üzerindedir. Köprü, 1082 H / 1671 M yılında Evliya Bey tarafından yaptırılmış olup onun adıyla da anılır. Ortadaki büyük, yanlardakiler küçük üç sivri kemerli göze sahip olan köprü kesme taştan inşa edilmiştir ve 32 m uzunluğunda, 5 m genişliğindedir. Köprünün menba tarafında ayakların önünde üçgen selyaranlar ve bunların biraz yukarısında tahliye açıklıkları bulunmaktadır. Gözlerin ve bu açıklıkların kemerlerinde yeşil ve beyaz taşların almaşık düzende kullanılmasıyla bir hareketlilik sağlanmıştır. سمات حلبية الأبلق في حلب الأبلق: هو تناوب مداميك الحجر بين لونين أو أكثر. استخدم هذا الأسلوب في مباني حلب بتناوب الحجارة الكلسية البيضاء والصفراء (البعاديني) مع الحجارة البازلتية السوداء، وشاع خلال الفترة الأيوبية ليصبح من العناصر المعماريّة المميّزة لسورية وانتقل لمصر. استخدم الأبلق على الارتفاع الكامل لعضادتي (طرفي) الباب والنافذة. واستخدم نادراً للنجفة، ولكن شاع استخدامه كمزررات للمدماك الذي يعلو النجفة مباشرة وبعرض لايتجاوزعرض الباب أو النافذة. وفي حال استخدام صف طويل من مزررات الأبلق لاتكون بعرض أكبر من مجموعة النوافذ والأبواب المتجاورة، أو تكون على عرض الواجهة كاملة دون انقطاع. استمر استخدام الأبلق وتطور استخدامه ضمن الفترة المملوكية فتميزت به واجهات المباني العامة، واشتهرت المباني العثمانية باستخدام الأبلق، أما بالنسبة لواجهات البيوت التقليدية فقد كان استخدام الأبلق على الارتفاع الكامل للواجهة نادراً جداً. للمزيد من المعلومات يمكنكم الاطلاع على الدراسة: جدول زمني لواجهات مختارة من المباني التاريخية في حلب على الرابط التالي: https://books.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/arthistoricum/reader/download/1008/1008-16-98163-1-10-20220428.pdf #Aleppo #Ablaq #Aleppine #Architecture #traditional #Aleppine_features #MuseumfürIslamischeKunst #SyrianHeritageArchiveProject #مشروع_أرشيف_التراث_السوري
