I had heard so much about #afghanhorseman, until I went and sat there for a meal. Simply put, it's one of the best middle east restaurants here in Vancouver. This cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation, and last but not least, the wonderful environment and decoration! The minute we entered the restaurant, I got surprised with all those afghan ornaments, paintings, and decorations. It was like a real time-travel to Middle East. The service and attention were exceptional. We met the restaurant's manager, Ahmad, and I can't say enough about his kind and nice personality. He gave us some really good hints about the menu which led to a good order๐๐ The service we received was so amazing and we will definitely come back again. Ahmad made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. I know that you are curious about the food quality itself. let's jump right at it๐ In short, the quality, presentation, and sides were wonderful. We ordered "Specialty platters", the Kebab platter, it tasted great and the price was economic. Why? On the menu it says that platters are for 2, but they are more than enough. My friends and I went to try something new near Granville Island! You see those hashbrown looking things around the platter? THEY ARE SOME AMAZING FRIED POTATOES!!! We had some kebabs and lamb shank as well! Some of the meat was kind of hard but the lamb shank was super soft!!! My favorite actually was the appies with the spinich spread ๐๐๐.
