‘‘Twas the night before school and all was quiet... except the f’ing smoke detector. Balancing on a Tripp trapp whilst baby wearing didn’t feel like the safest thing in the world but I won! The smoke detector is sleeping in the garage for the night. Now I just have to everyone back to sleep. What I don’t understand is, if it’s connected to the mains why doesn’t it have a rechargeable battery and also how does it still bleep if the power is off and the battery is flat.
