Everyone please give a warm welcome to our third and final arrival of the week: Bubba Blue. This happy go lucky senior is easy going and low maintenance:He came from a shelter before his previous owner adopted him. He’s cool with cats and seems to be ok with dogs of all sizes. He looks so cute in his comfy new bed but we’re told he’s equally happy with laying in the floor or in a basket of clothes. This guy is neutered and vaccinated and is awaiting a dental. D I N N E R • 12 months ❀ Hulk vege pasta ❀ Cherry tomatoes ❀ Raspberries 🥦 Hulk vege pasta recipe 🧀 🌸 Suitable from 6m Ingredients: ✿ Handful of baby spinach ✿ 3 Broccoli florets - raw ✿ 1-1.5 cups milk (I didn’t measure this) ✿ 1 tbsp wholemeal plain flour ✿ 1 tbsp unsalted butter ✿ 1 garlic clove - minced ✿ Mixed herbs, onion powder, parsley, black pepper to taste ✿ 3/4 tbsp cream cheese ✿ 30g cheddar cheese - grated ✿ 100g pasta - raw weight (I always use the Vetta Smart Fibre Veg Twists) Method: 1. Put pasta on to cook as per packet instructions. 2. In a pot on low-medium heat, add the butter. Once oil melted, add the flour and stir well, making sure there are no lumps. Sauce will thicken. 3. When desired consistency take off the heat and stir in cream cheese and cheddar. 4. B R E A K Y • 12 months ❀ Cheesecake toastie pocket ❀ Sweet potato & apple biscuit ❀ Gold kiwi fruit These bikkies are such a great snack idea! They’re really soft and great for all ages of BLW. Pria’s also going through her fussy girl era and she’s actually been eating them which is amazing 😂 Both recipes below ⬇️ 🍎 3 ingredient sweet potato & apple bikkie recipe 🍠 🌸 Suitable from 6m ❄️ Store on bench in airtight container for 3 days and in the freezer for up to 3 months Ingredients: ✿ 140g Apple - weight after peeled and cored ✿ 190g Sweet Potato - weight after peeled ✿ 150g self raising flour Method: 1. Preheat oven to 180•C and line a baking tray 2. Dice and steam apple and sweet potatoes 3. In a large bowl, mash the cooked apple and sweet potato until there are no more lumps. 4. Add flour and mix using hands until combined well and a dough is formed (I sprinkled a little extra flour, mine was a bit too sticky) 5. Roll dough flat until it’s roughly 0.5cm thick. Using cookie cutters, cut the dough until you’ve run out and place each cookie on the lined baking tray 6. Cook in the oven for 10-15 minutes ✨ Recipe from @little.vegan.eats ✨ 🫐 Cheesecake toastie pocket recipe 🍓 Ingredients: ✿ 2 slices of bread (I used wholemeal) ✿ Cream cheese ✿ Mixed berry chia jam Method: 1. Cut 2 larger circles in the bread 2. In the middle of one bread circle, put a generous blob of cream cheese and chia jam 3. Place second piece over the top and pinch the edges together, sealing the toastie. 4. Put in toaster until lightly browned and voila! I made donuts and muffins and they’ve both turned out great. 🥕 Hulk Savoury Donut Recipe 🥒 🌸 Suitable from 6m ❄️ Store in fridge in airtight container for up to 3 days and in the freezer for up to 3 months Ingredients: ✿ 1 small zucchini - grated ✿ 1 small carrot - grated ✿ Large handful of baby spinach ✿ Small handful fresh parsley ✿ 175mL milk ✿ 1 egg ✿ Black pepper ✿ 2 tsp mixed herbs ✿ 100g cheddar cheese - grated Method: 1. Preheat oven to 180•C 2. In a mixing bowl, combine the zucchini and carrot 3. Blend milk and spinach, then add to mixing bowl and stir through 4. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix well 5. Pour mixture into moulds/muffin tray if making muffins and cook for 20-25 minutes. B R E A K Y • 12 months ❀ Banana blueberry oat pancakes ❀ Strawberry flavoured whole milk yogurt (Jalna pouch of purity - no added sugar) ❀ Gold kiwi fruit and blueberries I know I’ve been a little A-wall lately, Pria turned 1 last week and mama was going through all kinds of emotions. But we are back and we have a 12 month old… time is a thief! 🍌🫐 Banana blueberry oat pancake recipe 🥞 🌸 Suitable from 6m ❄️ Freezable ✿ 2 ripe banana ✿ 80g blueberries (I used frozen) ✿ 2 cups oats ✿ 2 eggs ✿ 1 cup milk of choice ✿ 1.5 tbsp flaxmeal (optional) ✿ 1 tsp baking powder ✿ 1 tsp vanilla extract ✿ 1 tsp cinnamon ✿ Unsalted butter for cooking 1. In a blender, blend all ingredients until smooth 2. Heat unsalted butter in a pan on low heat. Once hot, add mixture to pan in smaller pancakes. 3. B R E A K Y • 11 months ❀ Raspberry and Greek yogurt filled mini crepes ❀ Raspberry and Greek yogurt with chia gel (used the rest of my filling) ❀ Kiwi fruit Got the idea for these fun little crepes from @mini.tiger.zen 😍 Go check her recipe reel out on these because mine do not do them justice! For the chia gel I added 1 tbsp of chia seeds with 3 tbsp of liquid and gave it a good stir. I let it sit for 10 minutes then gave it another stir and left it in the fridge overnight. D I N N E R • 11 months ❀ Chicken and veggie meatballs ❀ Tzatziki ❀ Wholemeal pita bread ❀ Home made chips ❀ Tomato and cucumber No after pic as the dog ate everything that fell on the floor 😂 Pria had a rough time teething after her second nap so to keep her happy I gave her a ‘snack’ (it was a lot haha) before dinner so I knew she wasn’t going to eat much of this. Hubby and I had lamb souvlakis so we just gave her a bit of everything we had. Chicken and veggie meatball recipe is from @mealtimewithmummy . This was so easy to make, especially good to build up the freezer stash and so full of goodness. 👼🏼 Suitable from 6 months ❄️ Freezable Ingredients: - 500g chicken mince - 1 zucchini - grated - 1 carrot - grated - Mixed herbs, garlic powder and black pepper - A drizzle of olive oil Method: 1. Preheat oven to 200•C 2. Add all ingredients into a large mixing bowl and combine using hands 3. Using your hands, roll mixture into balls to form a meatball and place on a lined baking tray 4.
