“Run Forrest run!”. May 1st the last three years has been the start of @theagencyre @givebackhomes 100 Mile Challenge. An Event that is (disappointingly from my perspective) not happening this year (not sure why). Given that I am ‘beat up’ physically and mentally probably for the best although even limping I would have got it done more so for the personal willpower check than that of common sense (I get a good telling off from my Doctor, physio, and wife every year for doing it). I will therefore be ‘running’ in a different way this month of May as I work to make up for a frustrating and disappointing Q1 by crushing it in Q2. That’s the great thing about real estate, you can restart the clock at the beginning of every month, every quarter, every TCREA real estate year and every calendar year. What has happened before is yesterday’s news and the focus is (and always should be) what is in front of you. April was good. I intend to make May better. Outside of ‘maybe’ a quick weekend trip to Miami to get some new glasses (can’t work if you can’t see!) this month will be spent ‘boots on the ground’ in TCI as I have multiple customers coming to see me, all with the intention of purchasing. This first day of May starts however with responsibilities as TCREA President. Now at the halfway marker in my tenure I am learning that every day is a new adventure in this role. The proverbial onion has layers… make one person happy and somebody else is pissed off. Make that person happy and you find that you’ve upset someone else. And so it goes, wasting a ridiculous amount of time in the process. Unbelievably it does feel like the EC (who I feel collectively are doing an excellent job) is making slow progress… or maybe that’s wishful thinking on my part! Стамбульский aka "мокрый" полумарафон. Что ж, история о том, как я решила принять участие в этом забеге уходит корнями в осень 2023-го года, когда я внезапно обнаружила, что на платформе Russia Running есть возможность оплатить участие в зарубежном забеге российской картой безо всяких проблем. Там-то всё и закрутилось - сначала слот, потом билеты, потом отель, и вот я уже сижу в самолёте Санкт-Петербург - Стамбул, чтобы полететь на свой первый забег за границей. Я давно задумывалась о беговом туризме - по-моему, классная задумка: ты едешь в путешествие и бонусом получаешь спортивное достижение. Огонь же. Погода в Стамбуле была замечательная все дни, кроме забега. Просто карма какая-то. Мало того, что полумарафон - само по себе испытание для организма, так судьба решила, что этого недостаточно, и поливала бегунов водичкой с неба с самого утра. Мой отель был в пяти минутах от старта, с тем расчетом, чтобы прийти налегке, и после финиша сразу иметь возможность упасть в постельку и отдохнуть. Это было очень мудрым решением. Из любопытного: при выдаче стартовых пакетов я обнаружила, что меня поместили в кластер А - это кластер для элитных и скоростных бегунов. Почитав бегунский чат, обнаружила, что многих россиян турецкий рандом кинул именно в этот кластер, так что решила просто не рваться в самое начало, чтобы не сшибли, и спокойно стартануть, придерживаясь правой стороны и давая возможность для обгона. Моей амбициозной целью было выбежать из двух часов. В самом начале я стартовала рядом с пейсмейкерами на 1:50, но быстро потеряла их из виду. Потом уже ориентиров, кроме бегового приложения, не было - но я понимала, что вряд ли смогу взять эту высоту. Ноги намокли сразу, приходилось бежать по лужам. Тушь начала подтекать, пушистые волосы в хвосте превратились в грустную тряпочку. Но поднимая взгляд, я видела прекрасный Босфор в лёгкой дымке тумана, и эти виды затмевали всё остальное. По трассе было много поддержки - конечно, кричалки были все на турецком, только на старте я видела плакат "Run Forrest Run", а потом уже ничего знакомого не было. Воду на пунктах освежения давали в маленьких бутылочках 0,3, что было довольно удобно. 👇👇👇

I’m doing this for the believers and non-believers alike. I’m doing this for my mental health. I’m doing this to check an accomplishment off of my bucket list. I’m doing this for the people who have pushed me and motivated me to keep going when life gets tough. I’m doing this for the adrenaline rush and excitement on race day. I’m doing this for purpose and self-love. Im doing this to overcome fear and pain. Wauw, nog 3 dagen en dan komt een grote droom uit: mijn theatertour 'Rennen voor geluk' gaat van start! Op donderdag 2 mei speel ik de eerste voorstelling van die reeks in Perdu, Amsterdam, die al naar zes plekken in Nederland reist. Ongelooflijk, maar waar 🥳🏃♂️❤️🔥 Wil je de vuurdoop meebeleven in Amsterdam? Ik knuffelde bomen, deed gekke dansjes, stak kaarsjes aan voor mensen die het moeilijk hadden en maakte de gekste tekeningen met stoepkrijt. De geluksacties zorgden samen met vele prachtige ontmoetingen, maffe speelmomenten, wonderlijke hardloopuren en talloze overwinningen op mezelf voor zo'n positieve stroom aan energie dat mijn hart en het spelende kind in mij soms ontploften van blijdschap. Het innerlijk vuur kwam los en zorgde voor een onvergetelijke tocht ❤️🔥 🏃♂️ Nu verbeeld ik deze tocht in een theaterstuk! In 88 minuten reis je mee met het avontuur, gevoed door anekdotes, gedichten, beelden, liedjes, geluiden en vele wilde sprongen! Letošní druhý závod na 10km s @runtour opět na polygonu Tatry v Kopřivnici, bylo to náročnější, byly kopečky ale počasí se povedlo a podmínky tak byly ideální, žádné očekávání nebylo, cílem bylo běžet na pocit a tak mě výsledný čas mile překvapil, bylo to za 0:53:07 a o víc jak 3,5 minuty lepší čas než loni. || 𝐎𝐍 𝐀 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐌 || I've been 'meaning to jog' for a few months now on the weekends to prep for a 5K in June. Amy Lebakken has inspired me greatly so I I asked her in a DM her training regimen. I casually said to her in a message that maybe I'd go Saturday morning. And you know what? I did it just so I could tell her I did! LOL! I jogged that whole 28 minutes without stopping and I even had inclines and such. All I can say is if you want to do something that is good for you, tell someone.
