Learnt from my mistake last year. Yesterday getting up early in the morning at 7:45am (when I didn't have to) paid off. It was Record Store Day at 8am & I was after Paramore's Remix version of their latest album This Is Why, my local bar/hangout Ventnor Exchange was getting it in. So got up especially early to hopefully go get it. Luckily I managed to get it, very happy I did. Looking forward to listening to it with the featured artists. I filled some gaps in my Paramore collection recently, including the new silver re-issue of All We Know Is Falling on vinyl. It isn’t easy to find on record and I haven’t even got the CD, so I’m really excited to own it and to listen to it soon. The flexidiscs probably wont be played but they’re an awesome thing to keep, and I’m happy to have This Is Why on CD and cassette now too. La généticienne nous a expliqué 1/4 de la population mondiale donnait naissance à un bébé atteint d’une maladie génétique 🧬 et pourtant sans être porteur d’une maladie quelconque. Elle nous a également dit qu’une étude était en cours pour comprendre ce phénomène. Même si nous sommes sains nous avons 1 à 5 % de risque d’avoir un deuxième enfant malade. SOLD | “In nature’s infinite book of secrecy a little I can read.” Shakespeare, Antony and Cleopatra. Another striking set of bookends by Italian artist Arnaldo Giannelli (1907-1992). Signed and dated 1987 by artist, they are made of recomposed stone - the artist’s preferred medium. Giannelli is an Italian master sculpture artist with the given title of Cavaliere. Interestingly enough, the bookends are not mirror opposites - they are identical- which means that they face the same direction when used as bookends. Perhaps intentional, perhaps meant to be used separately. They are in very good vintage condition with minor scuffs consistent with age and also the medium of stone. One bookend does show glue coming out from beneath Shakespeare’s bust ( as seen in pics). Price reflects. Probably my favourite of the grouping is this little creamer by Pisgah Forest Pottery circa 1942. The turquoise peeking through the green glaze and the pink interior are incredibly well blended. The piece has a solid ‘round’ feel to the touch, as it is earthenware pottery.
