It’s been more than a month since Chinook Landing closed for construction. We’re happy to say the project is progressing nicely. The dock floats have been installed and our contractor is now working on dredging the basin. There’s still a lot of work to do, but we’re on time to complete the project in the new year. Chinook Landing Marine Park is closed for construction through the end of January 2021. The project will replace the day-use dock and dredge the park’s channel to make navigation easier and safer. This is a partly made up landscape inspired by the sparkly columbia River at Chinook Landing. There were no boats out but I decided to put one in. I enjoy landscapes with figures as it allows viewers to imagine themselves in the painting.
