Irlandzkie góry - wietrzne i bardzo mokre. Ze względu na niepewny (przynajmniej częściowo autostopowy) dojazd, wybraliśmy krótką i łatwą wycieczkę na pół dnia, planowaliśmy wejść na najwyższy szczyt gór Connemara Benbaum. Okazało się, że mimo tego nie przeszliśmy w pół dnia jej całej. Góry te, pomimo niezbyt imponującej wysokości bezwzględnej (większość naszej walki na podejściu miała miejsce na ok. 300mnpm), okazały się dużo cięższe, niż przypuszczaliśmy. Od góry moczył nas deszcz, a od dołu rosnący wszędzie niesamowicie chłonny mech. Gdzieniegdzie woda nawet nie wsiąkała już w mech, tylko tworzyła kałuże i jeziorka w zagięciach zbocza. Główną niespodzianką tej wycieczki był bardzo silny wiatr, będący częścią przechodzącego akurat huraganu Kathleen. Nigdy, nawet w Tatrach zimą, nie miałam z takim czymś do czynienia. Pod wiatr przez większość czasu nie dało się iść w ogóle, w poprzek wiatru głową do przodu, porywy przewracały mnie nawet jak klęczałam, a jak wchodziłam na czworakach pod górkę to mnie pod nią wpychał (niestety większość naszego podejścia była w przeciwnym kierunku). Ostatecznie weszliśmy tylko na Benbrack (582 mnpm). Oprócz wiatru i podmokłego mchu, nie było tam trudności, choć wiem, że sąsiednie szczyty są znacznie bardziej skaliste i eksponowane. Przy takiej pogodzie stanie na wąskiej grani byłoby raczej złym pomysłem, także ostatecznie byliśmy zadowoleni z wycieczki i nie czuliśmy niedosytu z powodu ominięcia głównej części pasma. Napriek tomu, vždy obdivujem súčasných francúzskych autorov, ako dokážu okrem vzťahov postáv vykresliť aj celkovú spoločenskú kritiku. 📗 Konečný verdikt? Ak máte chuť na knihu o vzťahoch, ktorá nie je len o nich, ale máte chuť nahliadnuť aj na rôzne spoločenské aspekty, napríklad HR vo francúzskych firmách a rôzne konzultácie, tak si ju dajte. Master Angler Leg 1 Report 27/4/24 11:00-15:00 Venue: Lettergesh, Co Galway LW - 13:44 (1.13m) For the first leg of the all-anticipated Master Angler League, we travelled west in search of good weather and good fishing. 7 Seniors and 2 Juniors journeyed to Lettergesh on a sunny Saturday. Conditions were less than favourable, with clear sunny skies and clear water. However, a small beach surf gave us hope of a few flats. Fishing started at 11am, and it began to a good start with Chris Hartnett getting the game going with a turbot on the first cast. The middle 3 pegs seemed to have the fish, as Conor Murray and Tom Keal also caught fish within the first two casts. Sharing a peg with his daughter Ailbhe and his son Ronan, Chris scored a few more Turbot, including a double shot. Not long after, Ailbhe caught what was to be the only flounder of 18cm. Conor Murray quickly bounced back, securing another fish to keep in touch with Chris; however, the hope didn’t last as Chris landed an impressive 31cm Turbot to boost him to the top spot. As the tide began to turn, much-needed fish were seen at the lower pegs. Finbarr Maguire had a double shot of counting Turbot, and Brian Reidy was soon to follow, landing 3 undersize Tubots. John Cunningham saved the blank and landed an undersized turbot, worth its weight in MA points! At the final whistle Chris Hartnett won the senior division, a well deserved 1st place. Overall, it was a delightful day of fishing with 15 fish caught. It was great to see everyone back on the beach again after the long winter. Thanks again to @galwayaquarium for sponsoring the Junior division this year. Dressage 25/04/2024 The first competition of the year was a successful one. The aim was to ride a forward accurate test as I hadn’t rode in about week due to a number of things. We got 63.45% with the comments mainly saying to work in the outline and improve on suppleness. Yesterday we had a pole work lesson to work on our comments and it was a good lesson however Felix was really lazy 🙈. Me and instructor are really happy with his straightness which is a good thing as when we first got him he would drift to the left so we have decided to work on his suppleness and bending. As you may have seen in my story, I got to accompany my dear colleague and friend @couchflucht on research to the Wild Atlantic Way that we did not follow by car - as most people do - but by bike. And let me tell you - it was just the best experience. We started our little adventure in the small town Clifden, about an hour from Galway, where we got our bikes from @connemaraadventuretours delivered to our first B&B and followed a stunning route of calm streets and greenways to Cleggan (where a ferry leaves for the island Inishbofin), Tully (on the Renvyle Peninsula), Leenane and Westport. I spotted this stunning gate in Cashel the last day. It’s so fine I hardly noticed it. I guess many of the finer things in life are often overlooked because they don’t feel the need to shout or draw attention to themselves. This in part adds to their beauty. When this gate was originally hung I imagine the two parts at the top formed a pretty heart. I really should’ve taken a before and after 🙈 But look at his neck! He’s turning GREY? 😯🩶 He’s pretty much on an extended holiday/very light work purely due to lack of time. I’m trying to keep Domino fit for competitions and Arena Eventing Championships end of May, as well as planning a wedding (2 months to go!) and working full-time. It’s a lot 🤯 so Dreamer is definitely taking a back seat at the moment. He will be turning 5 this month and although I wish I was out giving him some education at this stage of his life, I really don’t think it’s doing him much harm chilling in the field as Domino’s companion ❤️ Hopefully after the wedding I’ll have more time and can get cracking with him properly! He’s such a sweetie 🍬🥺

💥Turnierbericht💥 Kennt Ihr das? Man fährt ganz ohne Erwartungen los und es wird ein toller und erfolgreicher Tag? Beim Parcours abgehen fürs 60 cm Springen kamen wir auf die spontane Idee in der Meldestelle zu fragen ob wir noch für das E Springen nachnennen können. War kein Problem😳. Also hieß es Dressurreiter streichen und erstmal ins Mini Stilspringen reiten. Heute haben die Beiden dann auch die grüne Saison eröffnet und sind das erste Mal draußen gesprungen. Das lief einfach mega gut. Tempo, Rhythmus und Sitz waren echt gut. Das wurde prompt mit einer 7,2 und dem 5. Platz belohnt🥰. Nun haben sie Beiden nach gerade mal 4 Monaten auch die erste Platzierung im Stilspringen. Weiter ging es dann mit dem E Stil Springen. Auch da lief es super. Leider hatten sie einen Fehler, aber Rhythmus und Tempo waren gut. Auch hier hatten sie als Grundnote eine 7,2, verblieben 6,7 und wir sind absolut happy damit. Swipe-->für das 🎞 der ganzen Runde. Zum Schluss musste Mia dann doch noch einen Dressur WB reiten. Sie mag Dressur ja nicht mehr so gerne, muss sie aber trotzdem noch reiten weil die Grundlagen einfach sitzen müssen. Völlig überraschend konnte Mia sich dann auch in ihrem allerersten Dressur WB mit Skoda mit einer 7.1 den 6. Platz und eine Salatschleife🥬 sichern. Und was mussten wir nun heute Abend noch machen?
