Technicallyyy, they are not 100% neccesary but it depends on how many people you’d like to attend your wedding ;) They are considered a courtesy to your guests so that they can plan ahead. If you are sending one out– the ideal timeline for mailing is 8-10 months prior to your wedding. You can bump this up to 12 months out for destination weddings so that your guests can secure their travel and accommodations. Working with a stationer for your Save the Date design can help give your guests a glimpse of what’s to come by keeping your paper goods cohesive from the start! 🔸If you are planning on a consolidated timeline, you can send one out at the 6 month mark followed by a formal invitation at 8 weeks out *or* skip the save the date and send your formal invitations at 3 months out. What to include on your Save the Date: Your names Location of wedding (city and state) Wedding Date Your wedding website (this is always a nice touch so that your guests can stay up to date as you add information) but not the end of the world if you don’t have a URL yet. Un film che amo molto dice «quando soffri di insonnia non sei mai realmente addormentato e non sei mai realmente sveglio». E secondo me il protagonista di Fight Club aveva proprio ragione. Quando soffro di insonnia la sensazione che ho io è come di guardare attraverso un vetro satinato: tutti i contorni attorno a me sono confusi e i miei sensi perdono lucidità, in compenso però i nervi sono scoperti e pronti a irrigidirsi al minimo raggio di luce. . Nelle ultime settimane mi è venuta a trovare questa vecchia conoscenza che periodicamente si fa viva, soprattutto in estate. Arriva come un'ospite scomoda e inattesa, e se resta molti giorni alla fine logora l'umore e contamina la percezione di ogni cosa. Non ho mai avuto un rapporto facile e lineare col sonno, ma stavolta sono passata attraverso uno dei periodi di insonnia più lunghi da che ne ho memoria, e alla fine ha vinto lei. Ora il problema sembra arginato, ma mi ha lasciato in regalo un po' di febbre e una manciata di afte nervose in bocca. E in tutto questo il mio letto milanese mi manca terribilmente.
Mi piace farvi vedere i vari passaggi del disegno per tanti motivi. Uno di questi è che le mie ragazze cambiano fisionomia in continuazione, e a volte penso che non mostrarvela prima che una certa espressione scompaia del tutto sarebbe un peccato.
Ieri sono stata a un matrimonio e ho respirato l'amore sotto molte forme. C'era l'amore che salva le persone, quello che crea famiglie, quello che unisce amici da una vita intera. Tutti modi di amare meravigliosi. Ma ciò che più mi ha commossa è stato sentir parlare il padre della sposa del suo amore per le api, percepire la tenerezza con cui le alleva e vedere i suoi occhi brillare nel raccontare come produce il miele. Io so che quando parlo dei miei disegni mi brillano gli occhi allo stesso modo, perché in fondo anche quello per la propria vocazione è una forma di amore, forse addirittura fra le più pure🫀
In genere ho bisogno di estremo ordine e linearità in tutto ciò che faccio. Finire ciò che ho iniziato, tirare fino all'ultimo tratto, rimettere nel giusto posto, riempire fino all'ultimo spazio (e farlo nel modo più preciso possibile). Oggi si ricomincia e parto ovviamente dalla mia Primavera. Ho deciso che ultimerò i capelli, ma per il resto l'originale sarà messo in vendita così, con le linee del corpo appena accennate e senza colore - che verrà aggiunto in digitale - perché per quanto io faccia fatica a gestirla, trovo bellissimi e graficamente poetici certi tipi di incompletezza. E imparare qualche volta ad abbracciarla è una sfida per e contro me stessa.
{ lei è la dolcezza delicata e disarmante della primavera } 🌸 Parecchio tempo fa avevo iniziato una miniserie di 4 ragazze, ma l'unica ad essere mai stata realizzata è quella in rappresentanza dell'autunno. È ora di far nascere anche le altre 3 stagioni man mano che arriveranno, cominciando ovviamente dalla Primavera!
