🔷 Desde el Ministerio de Salud bonaerense advirtieron un aumento de casos sospechosos de psitacosis, una enfermedad infecciosa aguda que causada por la bacteria Chlamydia psittaci que se transmite a través del excremento de las aves y que puede generar cuadros de neumonía. Usualmente los contagios se dan en espacios cerrados y con hacinamiento de aves. 👉 La cartera sanitaria indicó que desde mediados de marzo fueron “notificadas un total de 185 sospechas” de psitacosis. De ese total, 32 fueron confirmados (positivos para Chlamydia psittaci), 22 se calificaron como probables, 4 se descartaron y 127 continúan en estudio. En este contexto, también se registró en las últimas semanas un aumento pronunciado de neumonías bacterianas. 📌 Los casos positivos se distribuyeron en 14 municipios del Área Metropolitana de Buenos Aires (AMBA), con un promedio de edad de contagios de 44 años. En cuanto a la gravedad, se detalló que “24 de los 32 casos confirmados fueron internados (10 requirieron cuidados intensivos)” y que “se registraron tres fallecimientos”. 🔷 El expiloto de TC Carlos Garrido (66), ídolo de Chevrolet en los años ’80 y ’90 y actual comisario deportivo, fue asesinado a golpes en su casa de El Boquerón, en el partido de General Pueyrredon. La Justicia investiga si se trató un hecho vinculado a su círculo próximo o a un robo. El cuerpo del excorredor de Turismo Carretera apareció en el umbral de su vivienda a la altura de la Ruta 88, kilómetro 21,5, y su automóvil Citroën C4, incendiado, a 150 metros de allí. Por el momento se está llevando adelante la investigación correspondiente, por lo que no se descarta ninguna posibilidad. Hasta el momento, la única información que se tiene es el testimonio del casero que durante la noche llamó al 911 y aseguró que había sido atacado por intrusos, motivo por el cual perdió la conciencia y cuando se recuperó pudo ver a Garrido ya sin vida. Cuando llegaron los oficiales confirmaron el fallecimiento del expiloto y especialistas del Cuerpo Médico Forense de la Policía Científica establecieron que Garrido presentaba dos severos traumatismos de cráneo. Garrido debutó en el TC a fines de la década del ‘80, con Chevrolet, convirtiéndose en ídolo de la marca. En 1997 obtuvo sus únicas dos victorias en la categoría, ambas en el Autódromo de Buenos Aires. Anteriormente había sido campeón de TC del Sudeste en tres años consecutivos. En la actualidad, el excorredor formaba parte del equipo de Comisarios Deportivos de la Asociación Corredores de Turismo Carretera, fiscalizando las carreras de TC, TC Pista, TC Mouras y TC Pista Mouras.
