Great grab-and-go food and beverage options. Very budget friendly. Cons: Make sure your room doesnโt sit above the open air lobby location (lots of noise from the bar until midnight). Bundling a flight with this hotel for 3 nights has been cheaper than a one night stay at a deluxe resort (not including any airfare). This weekend, I had the opportunity to stay at the Drury Plaza Hotel Orlando-Disney Springs Area. Hereโs an overall review of the rooms. I stayed in a king room and it was bigger than expected. I loved the view of Orlando! The shower was spacious and I love the built in soap dispensers where you can see the soap levels! It had a vanity in the bathroom and out, so multiple people can get ready! The mini fridge was a little on the small side but I didnโt have any food to store so it worked for me! I love the open closet feature. The room came with a smart tv so you could log into Netflix or YouTube, as well as regular cable. As well as seeing the king room, the staff let me tour a room with 2 queen beds. This room was also very spacious! A family of 4 could definitely fit comfortably! Definitely recommend this hotel! Disney Springs: โWhat is it and how do I get there?โ What is it: Disney Springs is a very large and quite lovely shopping and dining area that is on Disney property. You will find dozens of stores and restaurants of all kinds, some Disney related but mostly not. It is a free amenity for all to enjoy. You will have to go through security to enter, but do not need a ticket or a reservation. How to get there: By car: there are several parking garages that you can utilize when visiting Disney springs. I recommend the Lime garage as it is centrally located, and you can access some main points of interest pretty easily from that point, such as World of Disney. By Bus: All Disney resorts offer free bus transportation to and from Disney Springs. By foot: If you are staying at Disneyโs Saratoga springs, you can follow a walking path and visit Disney Springs by foot. There are also several Good Neighbor Hotels that can access Disney Springs by foot as well. By boat: You can travel to Disney Springs by boat from three Disney resorts: Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter, Old Key West, and Saratoga Springs. What's a step above staying off property when you go to Disney, but still less $$$ than a Disney hotel? Staying at a hotel where you can WALK to Disney Springs! Disney Springs is literally me and my mom's first stop on almost every trip because there are so many good dining options. And one of the roads you use to get here is called Hotel Plaza Boulevard because of the seven "good neighbor" hotels along the way! Guests of these hotels can use a bridge to get right to Disney Springs without crossing the street. And staying at a Good Neighbor Hotel means you get the same benefits of staying on property such as early entry and transportation to the parks. The next evolution of my plan for my girls trip was to open a Hilton credit card from American Express and use the points to stay here. It just so happens that THREE of the Disney Springs Area hotels are Hiltons! Can you guess which one I was eyeing? (Hint: I'm cheap) At the time, the bonus was 100,000 Hilton points for spending $1,000 - NO annual fee! Hilton lets you pool your points with other people for FREE, which is rare for a loyalty program. You also get the fifth night free when booking with points. If I got the card, and THEN my mom got the card too, we would have enough for at least five nights! I was finally strategizing like a travel hacker! Ultimately we did not end up using the bonuses that way, but I would still recommend this card depending on your situation! We did a small staycation at a Walt Disney World Good Neighbor hotel this last weekend. It was Signia by Hilton Bonnet Creek. It has lovely rooms, several restaurants including a grab & go option, a beautiful pool with a lazy river, and a gift shop. There are buses to Disney and you get many of the same perks such as early park entry. As of now they are also doing movie nights outside by the pool on Friday and Saturday. Bonus: pool bar and grill! This could be a very good option for those who want to stay close to the magic!

Why would you stay at an off property Walt Disney World hotel??? . I do normally recommend staying on property bc the benefits are far greater, but sometimes they're all booked up or may you just can't afford it or maybe you're traveling with a huge group or a pet. ๐๐งโ๐ฆณ๐งโ๐ฆฐ๐ถ . Here's a really good one to try and did I mention their warm cookies๐ช๐ . Doubletree Suites is within walking distance to Disney Springs, the rooms are huge and a really nice pool/hot tub area. ๐โโ๏ธ . My biggest issue with any off-property hotel is transportation to the parks. Some Disney Good Neighbor Hotels do offer transportation to the parks, but either it's an extra charge or you have to wait for very specific times to come and go.. . You will also notice, a lot of extra fees when it comes to off property hotels. ๐ฐ๐ฐ ๐So it may look like a great deal, but make sure you check all those extra fees and not to mention the daily parking fees.๐ . โ๏ธThis is why you hire a travel agent to help you navigate all of this. I have to say Iโm super impressed with our stay tonight at the Holiday Inn Orlando - Disney Springs Area. We have an amazing view of Disney Springs from our room and itโs only an 8 minute walk down the sidewalk and over the pedestrian bridge to get there!! The staff has been amazing, very friendly and helpful, the pool is great AND we can see Epcotโs fireworks!!! Weโre off to Universal tomorrow for some Travel Agent fun but Iโd absolutely stay here again in the future.
