🌊 Gin @mfrvayres x @brasserie.distillerie.guyenne 🍸 Qui aurait cru cela possible ? Un gin entièrement réalisé par des étudiants en BTS Technico-Commerciaux en Vins, Bières et Spiritueux ! C’est la première école en France à mener un tel projet, et je n’ai pas assez partagé mon propre parcours : j’ai moi-même suivi ce BTS l’an passé et en suis ressorti avec des étoiles plein les yeux. 🥰 Cette année, les étudiants en 2ème année de BTS ont entrepris un projet ambitieux : fabriquer leur propre gin et le commercialiser. ✴︎✴︎✴︎ 【黒文字精油、木材のこと】 先日の京都滞在中に @fas のイベント準備のために京都の京北地区へ。 もう何年も前からお世話になっている蒸留所、KKファームさんにお願いしていた、黒文字、檜、杉の新芽の部分をいただきに行ってきました。 ちょうど黒文字の花が咲いている珍しい時期。 この季節にしかみられない可愛い小さなお花です。 蒸留のためのチップ粉砕だけで、あたりは黒文字の香りが漂います。ほんのり甘く複雑で、お酒のように芳醇なやわらかい香りは、香りに奥ゆかしさや、上品さを加えてくれる香り。 ちなみに黒文字はクロモジと読み、クスノキ科の木です。 日本では古くから生活の中で使われてきていて、お茶菓子をいただくときの楊枝も、もともとは黒文字が使われています。 抗菌作用が高く、良い匂いがするからでしょうね。 同じクスノキ科の芳樟やローズウッド、ホーウッドと親戚のようなもので、同じような芳香成分が多く含まれるので、香りも似た雰囲気です。 （香りのデザインの時には全て使い分けます） 枝を切りに軽トラに乗って山へ。 山椒や黒文字、檜に杉など、様々な芳香植物が満載。 山の力を感じます。 国土の7割は森林の日本。 人と土地と香りと。 最近は、使われなくなった間伐材をさらに再利用したり、役目を終えた木たちのアップサイクルなどのご相談も多く、少しずつ確かな繋がりができてきているのを実感しています。 これをどう繋げて、何をアウトプットするのか。 まだまだやることはたくさんありますが、楽しみながらやっていきます。 ─────────── @tomokosaito_aromatique_studio #kyoto #distillation #essentialoils #hinoki #kuromoji #sugi

And here's the best part- I've made cuttings of three of my different kinds of Jasmines. (I love how my dictation software always capitalizes Jasmine.) These plants once rooted will be shared with friends and neighbors. Next week I'll be making some more Jasmine cuttings of Maid of Orleans, my vanilla orchid, and my tie Lime Leaf tree.
