🙃this month was the most normal month I’ve had since Dec 2022 and I have appreciated that every day. One year ago I couldn’t walk four miles at a snails pace without incident after unexpected horrible spine surgery and just lost my job (identity: gone). Despite the madness I was grateful that I now understood ailments of the last decade and that I had a job which was fully supportive/had banging healthcare (even though they closed the new dept only five months after moving us there). I wouldn’t have had that with the majority of my previous jobs so everything in its own time I suppose 🤔over the year I’ve wondered what my life would look like a year from then: what if I never participate in another organized race, what if I can’t connect with people through adventures, what if I can’t go back to my usual work, what if this and what if that. I’ve held space for the new (hello bicycle) while doing what I can to move forward because if there’s one thing I’ve learned in life it’s that the time passes anyway 🙌I’ve stuck to my routine and my nutrition/movement/sleep have mostly stabilized…when those three jive, I like life best. I’ve also socialized a hair more with folks who have an ease and calmness about them but who also challenge and add positivity to my life 💁♀️anyway, enough dramatics. Another half marathon for me today. मेरा “RIT’ का सफर बहुत, उतार चढ़ाव भरा रहा. जिसमें मैंन बहुत सी चीज़ो को सीखा और इससे मेरे जीवन में कुछ फायदा तो हुआ! कहानी शुरू होती है अगस्त, 2023 से जब मैने “RIT” को पहली बार देखा क्योंकि मुझे कला में थोड़ी बहुत रूचि पहले से ही थी तो मैंने इससे जुड़ने का फैसला किया जब पहले दिन में यहा आया और दो घंटे बाद मुझे लगा ये सब तो बस थका रहे है और अब मैं कल से नहीं आऊंगा,और अगले दिन मैं गया भी नहीं,पर तीसरे दिन मुझे बुलाया गया की आओ,तो मैं गया और उस दिन मुझे सच में बहुत ही ज्यादा अच्छा लगा,तो मैंने सोचा “why don’t give it a try” और फिर मैं निरंतर यह आने लगा! और मेरी टीम में शुरुआत में काफी लोग थे,पर जैसे जैसे सफर आगे बढ़ता गया,उसी के साथ साथ सवारियां भी कम होती चली गई,पर इस माहौल का मजा कभी फीका ना हुआ।। मैंने ‘RIT’ के कारण ही अपना पहला नुक्कड़ कर पाया और गर्व की बात यह है कि वो भी”IIT Roorkee”में ,IIT Roorkee में मैने ऐसी बहुत सी यादें बनाई जो मुझे जीवन भर याद रहेगी! और चाहे हम”IIT Roorkee” में कुछ भी जीत न पाए हो,पर मैने उस moment को बहुत अच्छे से जिया और सीखा भी कि क्या गलतियां नहीं करनी हैं! सफर हमेशा इतना सुखी भी नहीं रहा,बीच में कुछ समय के लिए मेरी ‘team’ वालो से मेरी बातचीत बिलकुल ही बंद हो गई थी क्यूंकि मुझे लगने लगा था कि सब के सब मतलबी है और मैं ज्यादातर उनके फैसलों पर जो ‘team’ को लेकर लिए जाते थे उसका विरोध किया करता था,जो की सबको लगता था कि ये मेरा अहंकार था! और हो सकता है वो लोग सही रहे हो! पर मुझे कोई समझ नहीं पाया,इसका दुख हमेशा रहेगा.. फिलहाल के लिए इतना ही!! धन्यवाद...! But here comes the real twist in the story ... College life ke third din ie on 23rd August ....mere roommate jo RIT me session attend krne ka tha tha ..... Bola ki chl room me baithe bore ho rha hai .... CHL mere sath ..... Socha bore ho rha hu isse acha ek baar drama club me kya hota haiii dekh lete haii ... Waise time hi pass krna tha .... To maii gya.... And I stepped on the CC ground for the first time and joined the circle ........ There is a saying “ Everything happens for a reason “ ..... And probably .. deciding to attend one of RIT session to avoid boredom was there to be in destiny . What I have learned in my short 7 months period in RIT is that RIT is not about dramatics and film making ....but it is about emotions , Bonding and most important thing ...... HONESTY towards work . Probably I have learnt only 1 % of what drama and acting is but while learning this .... I have learnt how to be a leader .... From directing a Nukkad Natak in PECFEST’23 to being POC of the entire DIKSHA ‘24 event to being one of the 3 core members of the international conference CCETSD’24 .
