Histoire de jouets... La compagnie Fli-Back était un fabricant de jouets américain bien connu basé à High Point, en Caroline du Nord. Fondée en 1931, l'entreprise a débuté comme fabricant de bo-lo communément appelé en anglais (paddleball). Elle a fabriqué un très grand nombre de ces jouets et s'est ensuite diversifiée dans d'autres gammes de jouets. En 1946, ces jouets comprenaient des yo-yos et des toupies. C'est en raison des contraintes de la guerre vis-à-vis l'utilisation de certains matériaux que la compagnie a dû arrêter entre 1943 et 1945 la production de ses Bo-lo en raison des balles en caoutchouc. Dans les années 1950, l’entreprise vendait dans le monde entier et employait plusieurs centaines d'employés. Dans les années 1960, l'entreprise a changé de propriétaire de père en fils, mais en raison d'un certain nombre d'événements malheureux, les projets d'expansion significative de l'entreprise ont été suspendus en 1963. C'est en 1972 que l'entreprise a été vendue à la société Ohio Art et a entamé une spirale descendante. Dans les années 1980, le dernier propriétaire, la société Hedstrom, a fermé l'usine en Caroline du Nord et a transféré la production au Mississippi. Radio programs were popular during the late 1920s through the 1950s. This circa 1950 sign advertises “Hopalong Cassidy” on KWBW Radio in Hutchinson. This syndicated western adventure radio program ran from 1950 to 1951. Its popularity generated films, TV shows, comics, museum exhibits and an amusement park. “Hopalong Cassidy” started out as short stories and books created by Clarence Mulford in the early 1900s. KWBW Radio, Hutchinson’s first radio station, signed on the air in 1935. It featured programming from the NBC Network — music, sports, game shows, news, soap operas, dramas, and comedies. Histoire de jouets... Ces deux poupées nous proviennent d'un don fait par une dame habitant dans la ville Des Escoumins au Québec. La dame en question est maintenant âgée de 95ans. C'est par le biais de notre reportage présenté au réseau LCN dans le cadre de l'émission (À vos affaires) que la personne aidante de cette dame lui a parlé de nous et de nos expositions. La propriétaire cherchait un endroit et un foyer pour donner une seconde vie aux poupées de son enfance qu'elle a soigneusement conservé depuis le jour où elle les a reçu en 1935. La plus grande a depuis toujours été entreposée dans sa boîte d'origine qui provient du magasin J.B. Renaud de Québec avec l'inscription du magasin toujours présente sur sa boîte. Przedziwna wystawa w @galeria_miejska_we_wroclawiu 🐍 Do 9.05.2024 roku można oglądać “Pępek snu” - zbiorową wystawę, której punktem wspólnym wszystkich prac jest oniryzm. 🐍 Najbardziej przyciągają rzeźby. Klasyczne wazony @just_smolen przekształcone zostały w narastające niczym huba, porcelanowe dziwolągi. Coś, co w swojej pierwotnej wersji kojarzy się z bibelotem uzupełniającej domową atmosferę, artystka obraca w niepokojącą, zmutowaną instalację. 🐍 Podobne uczucie grozy (tu już bardziej jawnie) wykorzystuje @instytut_rzezby . W tych pracach największe napięcie rodzi się między tytułem a dziełem np. “Rekonwalescencja” to niewielkie popiersie mężczyzny, któremu z ust wypełza wąż. One thing that I love about living in Stockholm is the access to all the museums 🎭🗽📜 It’s one of the most museum dense cities in the world with more than 80 museums. A few owned by the municipality and free (such as the museum of Stockholm, Stadsmuseet), others owned by the state (through the culture department ), such as Etnografiska (Museum of Ethnography) and Medelhavsmuseet (Museum of Mediterranean and Near Eastern Antiquities) and then we have the private ones such as @fotografiska 📸🏛️ Some are also free, which politicians can decide depending on what you’re voting for. In Stockholm the state museum is free for example and others are free certain hours.
