🙃this month was the most normal month I’ve had since Dec 2022 and I have appreciated that every day. One year ago I couldn’t walk four miles at a snails pace without incident after unexpected horrible spine surgery and just lost my job (identity: gone). Despite the madness I was grateful that I now understood ailments of the last decade and that I had a job which was fully supportive/had banging healthcare (even though they closed the new dept only five months after moving us there). I wouldn’t have had that with the majority of my previous jobs so everything in its own time I suppose 🤔over the year I’ve wondered what my life would look like a year from then: what if I never participate in another organized race, what if I can’t connect with people through adventures, what if I can’t go back to my usual work, what if this and what if that. I’ve held space for the new (hello bicycle) while doing what I can to move forward because if there’s one thing I’ve learned in life it’s that the time passes anyway 🙌I’ve stuck to my routine and my nutrition/movement/sleep have mostly stabilized…when those three jive, I like life best. I’ve also socialized a hair more with folks who have an ease and calmness about them but who also challenge and add positivity to my life 💁♀️anyway, enough dramatics. Another half marathon for me today. So…..here we go again. You literally couldn’t write this year, so I am so sorry to be coming at you with another announcement that isn’t a new class ( those will come I have plans 😉) I am having my hysterectomy on Sunday 5th May 🤞🏼. Had my pre op today and all looks good. That does mean that I can only teach my classes for the next two weeks as a Hysterectomy is similar recovery to a c-section. I will be emailing everyone that is currently attending my classes to let you all know what the plan is and how we will move forward. This is the other reason that I am break until September with classes so that there will be no more messing about, I hate it; these emails are not nice to write or send. So a break and a refresh with a positive start in September 🤞🏼 I hope everyone can understand that I need to put my health first pop over to my profile @sallylwatts for the compete low down. As my junior year comes to a close, self-reflection tells me a lot about who I have grown into being. This year has been the biggest success of my life. I have learned so much from trusting myself, putting myself out there, and becoming comfortable in the uncomfortable.
