This violence against Indigenous peoples has not only targeted Mother Earth but also her bodies—particularly the bodies of Indigenous women and relatives. The MMIWR epidemic is not a coincidence; it is a direct result of systemic oppression, racism, and colonialism. From Palestine to Sudan, from the Americas to Africa, we see the same patterns of violence and dispossession repeated. From the data we have gathered on femicide victims, these 2 women are MUKAKABERUKA VESTINE🕊💔(45 y.o) who was murdered on 6th January 2020 & BAYAVUGE BEATRICE🕊💔(44 y.o) who was 5 months pregnant & was murdered on 12th January 2020. SADE CARLEENA ROBINSON‼️ SAY HER NAME‼️ *content warning: femicide, violence against Black girls* Today, we are disgusted, enraged, and sickened by the news of Sade Robinson’s murder. Sade Robinson graduated high school early and was a criminal justice major in college with only one semester left to graduate. She was a Taurus and excited for her 20th birthday awaiting to celebrate her life on May 10th. She’s described by her mom as a “loving daughter, cherished sister, and dear friend.” She was a smart girl with big dreams. Sade went missing on April 1st after in Milwaukee after going on a first date with 33 year old, Maxwell Anderson, who’ve since been charged with intentional first degree homicide for her dismemberment and murder as of April 12th. Sade’s leg was found severed a hip in a park, a foot in the woods, and other areas across the county. Maxwell sought out a Black girl with the sole intention to harm her in one of the most gruesome ways possible. Black women and girls who go missing are more likely to either not be found or to be found already murdered. Missing Black women and girls’ coverage should be national and spread far and wide. It continually pains us to know that Sade and her family aren’t recieving the news coverage they deserve. THIS IS FEMICIDE. THIS IS MISOGYNOIR. THIS IS BLACK FEMICIDE. Sade did not deserve violence because she went out on a date. She did not deserve violence because she dated interracially. This is NOT her fault and the only fault lies with the person who sought her out with intentions to harm her. Misogynoir is rampant. Misogynoir is violent. Misogynoir is cruel. Misogynoir is abusive. Sade should still be here and we are so heartbroken and disturbed that she is not.
