It was very much a Southland day last Friday for Rachel & Paul’s wedding - four seasons in one day! The pair wanted to have a relaxed day with close friends and family on their beautiful farm out at Browns. The ceremony was set up overlooking the hills and the sun was shining. After walking down the aisle with their two dogs the rain came in, but that did not put a dampener on the ceremony. They exchanged beautiful vows, with Paul doing his off the cuff (which is really hard to do with everyone watching on). There was a flurry of confetti as they walked inside as husband and wife. A giant rainbow came out and we managed to get some photos with the bridal party, Rachel’s horse Rosie and the dogs! Golden hour brought a gorgeous sunset and we made the most of it! The reception was at an old school house. Friends cooked up a bbq and they had an incredible sponge cake made by Paul’s sister. Low level seating with a view over the Glastonbury Festival site. Soon this place will come alive with all the colours and glory of the festival. For now this tranquil, rural scene can be enjoyed for laid back weddings at @pennard_hill_farm. For this outdoor lounge set up we used our Low Alpine table, Souk chairs, paired with linen Amilie cushions in avocado green and a Waikiki parasol to provide shade.
