📍Lettuce Lake Conservation Park There are never enough pictures to justify going to the park!!! Surrounded by nature, a crazy new playground area (turfed!!), natural shade, and tons of things to do. We walked the board walk to find alligators, fish, turtles, so many plants and all the squirrels your little could imagine 🐿️ We went solo this trip, and even though everything is a little secluded, we felt safe among everyone who was there. So many families and friends enjoying being under the tree tops!! Truly is such a fun day activity for not only the littles, but bigs and us adults too! Don’t forget cash for $2 conservation park fee, but trust me, you need to check out this park 🛝🐊🌳 #lettucelakeparktampa #conservationparks #floridaparks #southtampamoms #momsofsouthtampa #naturedayout #letkidsbekids #eatrunplaytampabay

This weekend I went kayaking down the Santa Fe River! 🛶 This is a paddle I’ve done many times before, and it’s always one of our favorites. The river is calm, wide, and beautiful, and with just enough of a current for a peaceful float downstream. There are multiple springs along the way that you can paddle into. You have a great chance of spotting wildlife like turtles, birds, and even alligators 🐊 There are many options of where you can put in/take out, and you can customize your trip for the length of your paddle and what springs you want to see. On this trip, we did Rum Island to Gilchrist County Santa Fe River Park (SR-47). This is about a 5-mile paddle and takes ~ 4 hours, including time to get out and swim. You can either bring your own vessel and use a two-car system or use a rental company. There are several companies, all offering multiple put in/take out spots and shuttle services. 🛶Where to Start - High Springs Boat Ramp (off US-441) - Santa Fe Public Boat Ramp (US-27) - Poe Springs (about ½ mile portage) - Rum Island Springs County Park - Gilchrist Blue Springs 🛶Where to Take Out - Rum Island Springs County Park - Gilchrist Blue Springs - Gilchrist County Santa Fe River Park (SR-47) You’ll find a bunch of springs during this paddle down the river. Many are small and you might not even notice them. A couple are larger parks: Poe Springs, Gilchrist Blue Springs State Park, and Ginnie Springs. You are allowed to paddle into the spring head/swimming area of all of these springs. If you stay in the water, you are not required to pay the park’s admission fee. If you’d like to get out on land and use their amenities such as restrooms or picnic tables, you would need to pay the park’s fee. We didn’t encounter too many other folks on the river, except in and around Ginnie Springs. There are a lot of tubers, swimmers, and rafts in this area. I imagine in the summer it will be even busier, but it wasn’t a big deal to navigate around them. This is a dark river, so unlike Ichetucknee River or Rainbow River, tubing isn’t as much of a thing. The pics are all places along the river. Some were taken on different days! Questions about this paddle?

Florida’s freshwater springs are natural wonders that dot the landscape, offering a glimpse into a unique and diverse aquatic ecosystem. These springs, fed by underground aquifers, maintain a constant temperature and provide crystal-clear water, making them popular attractions for tourists and locals alike. The state is home to over 1,000 freshwater springs, each with its distinct characteristics and attractions. Some of the most famous springs include Silver Springs, Wakulla Springs, and Ichetucknee Springs, known for their pristine beauty, underwater caves, and diverse marine life. These springs play a vital role in Florida’s ecology by providing habitats for numerous plant and animal species. Manatees seek refuge in the warm waters of springs during colder months, while fish, turtles, and birds thrive in the clear waters and lush vegetation surrounding the springs. Aside from their ecological importance, Florida’s freshwater springs offer recreational opportunities such as swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and wildlife watching. Many springs are protected within state parks or conservation areas, ensuring their preservation for future generations to enjoy. However, these natural treasures face challenges such as pollution, overuse, and habitat degradation. Conservation efforts, including water quality monitoring, restoration projects, and sustainable tourism practices, are crucial to preserving Florida’s freshwater springs and maintaining their ecological integrity for years to come. 🌴🩵 #FloridaNature #FloridaConservation #ProtectFlorida #FLWildlife #ConservationFL #FloridaEnvironment #EcoFriendlyFL #PreserveFL #GreenFlorida #SaveOurState #EcoFL #FloridaParks #CleanWaterFL #BiodiversityFL #FloridasBeauty #EnvironmentFL #GreenLivingFL #FloridasEcosystem #ConservationSuccess #floridawilderness @floridawildlifecorridor @conservationflorida @floridaspringscouncil @fl.stateparks @fcvoters @raw._florida @aquaticadigital @sonyunderwater

We walked to the NEW end of the island yesterday. Here’s the new pass that used to be beach! The Gulf is now flowing into the intercoastal. Here’s a quote from the Florida Dept of Environmental Protection: “Earlier this month, the northern portion of the sandspit split in two, creating a new cut. Although, this is not the first time this has occurred at Honeymoon Island. Over the years, an occasional short-lived cut has appeared at this location, only to refill as sand naturally moved from other areas of the beach or sandbars just offshore. Since Honeymoon Island is a barrier island, it will continue to change and develop through this natural process.” . . . . . . . . . . . . #florida #floridalife #dunedinfl #dunedinflorida #dunedin #delightfuldunedin #honeymoonisland #honeymoonislandstatepark #flstateparks #floridaparks

Well that does it for Sea World today. I had an absolute blast at what I consider to be the best park in Orlando. The main reason for that is the hardware and incredible riding opportunities this park provides. No waiting 1hr per ride. A quick queue year option and really high capacity rides means I accomplished the following from 9am to 3pm: Mako 17x Manta 3x Ice Breaker 1x Infinity Faults 3x Kraken 3x JTA 2x Pipeline 2x. Now where else can you get that type of ride per hour quota in Orlando? pretty tough at times and on top of that I still consider this Park's other aspects premium. Hardware quality is 10/10 with Mako and Manta being the 2 best rides in Orlando and the food at the 7 Seas festival today was also 9/10 minimum. The animal exhibits here and shows are really great as well with Orca encounter being my favorite show in Orlando. Aside from that the park is very well kept. It looks nice and employees are fast. It's also a convenient park where restrooms are nearby and the signs for paths are becoming more frequent as well as items in pocket policy which is linient here. The last great aspect is the food from the 7 Seas festival. It was absolutely outstanding and I stand by that Sea World is the best park for food in all of Orlando. I'm absolutely proud to have Sea World as a home park. #centralflorida #florida #floridaparks #floridathrills #thrills #thrilling #amusementpark #amusementparks #themepark #themeparks #rollercoaster #rollercoasters #thesouth #hometown #floridaentertainment #themeparkreview #orlando #centralflorida #amusements #culture #seaworld #seaworldorlando #sea

Chaos here at Infinity Faults... The attendant left and there was a swarm of like 20 people jump into the quick queue. All of this right after the ride opened back up after technical down time. Time to use my year round quick queue to skip the 2hr wait for Infinity Faults. If this is a priority for you u gotta do it at rope drop for this section. Otherwise it will break down while ur in that 1.5hr line. If you have quick queue though much easier. Hello and welcome to another enthusiastzach trip report. Today I'm back at my favorite park in Orlando Sea World Orlando for another fun day of riding. One of the reasons I love coming here is 1. the hardware is the best of any place in Orlando boasting the two best rides in the city Mako and Manta. And 2. this place has a year round quick queue option available to purchase so each time I come I'm able to get tons of re-rides on these coasters. Sea World also has the best food of any park in Orlando so I'm going to be sampling the 7 Seas food stalls and checking out some animals on top of the coasters. #centralflorida #florida #floridaparks #floridathrills #thrills #thrilling #amusementpark #amusementparks #themepark #themeparks #rollercoaster #rollercoasters #thesouth #hometown #floridaentertainment #themeparkreview #orlando #centralflorida #amusements #culture #seaworld #seaworldorlando #sea
