It’s a restaurant specializing in Chinese cuisine and we did get to taste a lot of their delicacies, and trust me when I say everything was appetizing! The carbonate shrimps, butterfly prawns, hot n sour fish, pickled cucumbers, Thai mango salad and what not, all delicious and delectable. Can’t say the same about the desserts though. The desserts were purely Chinese originated which is why the taste was quite different to the ones we usually have. The presentation was on fleek but the taste just dint sit with me. Overall, the day was fun filled. Hi Tea at the roof, tour of the hotel, the launch, everything was well planned and executed. Had a great time with other foodies who joined on the tour. Since this deal was all about focusing on the iftar, the dinner menu was quite limited. Beef steaks, chicken with cashew, fish, chow mien and masala rice. The beef steak with baby potatoes was my favourite pick. The chicken and cashew gravy could have been more flavourful. The fish though was crispy and compact. This time @laterrazzaf7 For iftar they had a spread of Chicken wings, Macronis, Samosas, Pakorays & Fruit Salad. The fruit salad was refreshing and looked enticing with the fruits cut into star and other cute shapes. The wings were flavorful and all other items tasted okay too except the sandwhiches which seemed stale. For mains the standout for me were the Szechuan Chicken with fried rice, the Mediterranean chicken with steamed veggies and the buttered fish which was steamed and hence super tender. I was excited about the Fillet Mignon, but that turned out to be super hard and chewy. The alfredo pasta also lacked flavour with being more of a creamy rather than cheesy consistency. And a disspointment that was! The brownie was extremely hard and dry. The chocolate fudge poured on the skillet was rather stingy in quantity and didn't really do it's job of keeping the brownie bottom moist, which is probable why it tasted and looked burnt. Also, the fact that the skillet was prepared and kept sitting on the kitchen counter for a good minute or so, till a server bought it to us, might have added to an already debacle situation. Although its named the Honey Chicken, it wasn't entirely on the sweet side, which I liked. Had I not known the name, I would have probably thought of this as a dry sweet and sour or something. Can totally skip the starters/appetizers but not my sugar fix at the end. @two_broke_engineers don't really do desserts except brownies. The brownie came sitting on a heated skillet, topped with vanilla icecream, and sided with a jar of warm chocolate ganache to be poured upon. This looked like any other skillet brownie till I had my first bite. The first layer consisted of bananas and nuts! The nuts did provide a nice crunch but the bananas turned super soggy because of the warmth and failed to enhance the overall taste. Had the brownie come without the bananas, it would have tasted exemplary. So it was quite refreshing trying these @thesidewalk.pk Although the pizzas were flat bread, the crust wasn't hard. Topping and melted cheese gave the pizza a juicy and moist appearance as well as texture. My personal favourites were the Pepperoni and the Four Cheese pizza. Divine! Im not huge on chicken pizzas hence the Chicken Jalapeno wasn't my best loved, but was good nonetheless. Serving everything from cakes to doughnuts and eclairs, we were all silently eyeing the desserts laid out inside their glass counter, while having our pizza. The time came and we were served these heavenly Brioche Donuts in the Creme Brulee and Lotus flavours. The Creme Brulee was out of this world! Certainly gave me @krispykreme vibes! Sweet, soft and filled with this goodness, these are on my must have list whenever im near the place! The Lotus doughnut was delectable. Filled with lotus custard on the inside, and frosted with Lotus icing on the outside, I loved every bit and bite of it. Buttered on the top, it made for a delicious and filling snack. Sided with fresh roghni naan, salad and raita. Started off with Chicken Corn Soup and then to the chaat station where I had the best Fruit Chat topped with roasted nuts. From the mains, I thought the chicken wings were scrumptious. They had Arabiatta Pasta which I scooped up a large serving of, and sided with some Vegetable Chowmien and Chicken Nuggets. Since the cold weather is breathing it's last, I thought the Lahore Fish would make for a perfect ending. They have live shawarma and crepe station, which I took advantage of, and had myself made a chocolate crepe with fresh creme. Divine!
