Trade Talk Tuesday! If you’re a curtain maker you’ll know how tricky it is to achieve this without me explaining what we’re looking at! As professional curtain makers the service we offer isn’t just about the making. I went along on install day with the fitter to take the measures as he installed the poles. In this gorgeous guest room I could see how important it was to line the fabric pattern up with the wallpaper pattern - lots of careful measuring and photos of the tape against the wallpaper so we could see where the pattern came in relation to the pole and the skirting for reference points. Back in the workroom Ange and I checked and double checked the pattern placement before cutting the fabric and starting the making up. ✨ Ma première compétition ✨ Malgré des glissades, je suis fière d’avoir construit cet univers. D’avoir apporté une présence sur scène. Pour une poleuse qui a connu ce sport il y a même pas 2 ans, sans antécédent de danse, ni de gym, je trouve incroyable de ce que mon corps est capable de réaliser. 🏅CHAMPIONNAT INTER RÉGIONAL ANTILLES-GUYANE | 16 avril 2023🏅 🥈Médaille d’Argent avec la note de 47,25/60 (24 en technique et 23,25 en artistique) J’ai beaucoup hésité à faire cette compétition car ce n’est vraiment pas mon truc … 😏 Depuis ma tentative au Pole Art France en 2017, je me disais que je ferais de la compétition le jour où j’aurais un excellent niveau mais, je ne me trouve toujours pas excellente 🙈😅 Très exigeante avec moi-même, je ressors déçue de ma 2e place mais la préparation de cette compétition m’a beaucoup apporté personnellement et cet « échec » me donne encore plus envie de travailler 💪🏾 J’ai pris un grand plaisir à préparer ce numéro sur un thème qui me tient particulièrement à cœur : le CANCER. This project has been a while in the planning. Our client’s stylish barn conversion has a glass bedroom door which opens into the room, with limited height above the door. We fitted a French style pole by Cameron Fuller Limited - this allows the curtains to be drawn clear of the door.
