After Pat's passing last year, we were contacted by a gentleman named Josh Mills. Josh is the son of multi-talented Edie Adams, and hosts a podcast called "Rarified Heir", in which he speaks mainly with the children of celebrities. Josh wanted to interview Pat's daughter Patti about life in Las Vegas in the 70's, especially as seen through the lens of a performer's child. Because of the delicate nature of the situation, and because she has never done an interview of this kind, she was trepidatious about speaking publicly for the first time. Josh was patient and eventually she got to a point where she felt comfortable and the interview was scheduled. The 2+ hour discussion has been edited into two episodes of the podcast, and the first is now available for listening. In addition to Robert Fripp this edition of Crimson had ace musicians Bill Bruford, Adrian Belew & Tony Levin (pic 3-5). Following 1981’s dazzling reinvention of King Crimson with the release of Discipline, the band found themselves in New York’s garment district in early February 1982 working on material that would be included on the follow-up album. When Beat was released in 1982, it was the first Crimson record recorded by the same line-up for the first time in its long career.
